Great start! Something I do not understand (and I have watched a few content creators videos), is why just one portable constructor and one oxygen generator? I am not a noob player, nor am I an high end veteran player. One thing I realized in my first few game plays is. Make more portable constructors. This way early on you generate fuel faster, and can still process materials. Two or three oxygen generators (I usually use 2), and your making Oxygen twice as fast. I am not saying thats the only way to do it, but portable constructors are cheap, just like Oxygen generators.

Surprisingly you're not wrong, I do normally run multiple portables at once, but it really becomes a bit of a pain to manage them all. I personally only spam them down when I am using them to convert excess rocks and stone into base ores. Other than that I tend to use only one. Once you get a portable going efficiently, there doesn't really appear to be a good enough reason to build multiples. At the beginning it's more about the looting and then the building, at least it is for me. If I had started on a more harsher world I might have had more of a need. :)

@@probabilityofsuccesszero It's all a matter of gaming style I guess. I know I am working efficiently once I get six or seven down, with at least two o2 condensers, but it is all about styles of game play.

Looking like a good start. I started playing again after a long break. I have played reforged Eden in the past but now am playing a different scenario themed around salvaging.

Thank you for your comment. I also took a sizable break from Empyrion, it was due to playing exclusively online with other people rather than making the videos in SP. Hopefully you're like this series.

Glad to hear it! The game is always improving, sometimes it can be a bit rough, but they polish it till it is shiny and then it's a real blast. The last update has been a bit of a rocky one for me. But I suspect it will improve shortly.

You could have used the multi tool on the wreckage to get steel, also in the wreckage there is a cargo box underground.

I could have done that, however, I left the wreckage alone because it is part of the in-game storyline. At this particular point I was running the game as a solo game rather than on a server as coop. This meant had I harvested the wreck it would not had respawned, and given how easy it is to accidentally or intentionally collapse POIs I opted not to risk it. :) I did however get loads of steel plates off other nearby POIs however. I didn't know however about the under-ground cargo box in the wreckage, I'll have a look for those ones next time.

I realize this is a month old, but.... if you dont run, your food bar lasts longer overall. IE you can travel further per food point. makes survival at the start much easier.

Thank you, I am aware of this, however the issue for me is the speed of movement when you are trying to get a lot done quickly, sometimes you just have to sprint. I know I could use the bunny hop method of covering more ground, but frankly, I think it makes you look very silly. :D
