What I love the most is seeing Shawn laugh. He deserves it. I know what he has been through most his adult life to date, now that most of it is behind him (for the time being) I like seeing him come into himself as a father and a husband.

Quickly becoming one of my favorite YT Channels. Shawn is a great interviewer, and he has some of the most interesting guests on with such diverse backgrounds. I respect Shawn's Navy Seal service and how well this channel stands up without leaning too much on that background. Keep doing what your doing! It's working!

First of all, love the spot there with the creek in the background. A little while back we had a 3 year old son and thought “hey, he really needs a brother or sister” - whelp, we got twins. There was no preparing for that. Today oldest boy is a firefighter/medic protecting those who served in the Veterans Administration Fire Department, twin #1 is active duty Marine Corps and twin #2 is studying early childhood/ special education. It was a 3 ring circus that was non stop but the most amazing thing we ever accomplished. Cheers to you both

I’ve been listening to this show for a few years as I work in my shop or turning laps in the tractor on the ranch, and just now finding this series “It’s not just us” - down to earth, candid stories of husband & wife becoming young parents, makes me smile reflecting back on my wife & I’s own experiences raising 4boys amidst all the deployments with both of us being active duty. Definitely some trying times, but running that gauntlet made us closer. Y’all are a great team and genuinely happy for ya. 👏

One problem with AA- it had the blessings of Rockefeller’s!! It does help, but it truly takes the focus off of how powerful we actually are!! It truly is a cult and I mean no disrespect. Stop counting time! Best thing I ever did! For me.

Great to see such open and honest communication between you guys. And it's fun to hear all the common "denominators" we all have in building our marriages. We married in '76, and are still married--and still madly in love. We decided to wait to have our first bambino until we were sure our foundation was solid. I was a new LEO in '76, and I knew then that the divorce rate was high for LEOs. I was working swing and only making 9k a year, so waiting was almost a necessity. We had our first after 7 years! So, we did establish that solid foundation, and got all the fun and money stuff out of the way so we could focus on raising a family. Ended up with three daughters, had several careers after retiring as an LEO, and both of us are now retired. Love seeing you guys working through the issues and building that solid foundation. It'll pay huge dividends when life inevitably smacks the livin' crap out of y'all. No couple escapes that. BTW--We're looking to move to TN but are delayed due to the virus and outrageous home prices. Really looking forward to the next vid.......
