What a powerful story! Thank you for sharing this. You have made me think about the sacrifices immigrants face that we never even think about! I hope that you find some comfort in sharing your story. I am sure that by doing so, you have helped many others realize they are not alone!

I think her speech is so dense with culture proud and kinda patriotism that could be seen as ridicoulus, as many of us don't really have anymore of those two things

If she want to live the life of a Vietnamese, then she is free to go there and live the culture. Whats the problem? Why are immigrants always crying, so annoying.

Vekoro, why are you crying about someone else's desire to be free to be their true selves? How does her desire to be both Vietnamese and American hurt you? She made it clear that she was born in America and grew up here. She has as much right to understand her family's cultural roots as you do yours. She also made it clear that she is contributing to her community and using her energy and wisdom to support those who would be brushed aside by wealthier and more powerful people. It is wholly American to support those who need it, and she is doing the work of building community that we so badly need today. So what are you doing? How are you building community?

@@johndemeritt3460 I dont cry about it, i gave her a good advice to solve her problem. We dont need such peoples. We are happier without her and she is happier without us. Simple solution and a win-win situation for both sides.

You really don't get it, do you? Have you no humanity? I applaud her courage and am disappointed by your narrow mindedness.

She created all this low self-esteem on her own. She took all these incidents to far, she made up all these fantasies of people judging her in her head and her parents taught her wrong. They taught her that people look at her different your parents really damaged you. Please dont have kids you will ruin them
