So freaken real! Anxiety is hideous! I tend to be able to push through Anxiety but if I don't practice self care I end up with panic attacks 🙄 it's so common now days! It's such a comfort to know we are not alone! And it's people like you being real, that even if your struggling will make a video that then becomes a lifeline to others! ❤❤

Aye man it is good to get it out of the system and talk about it. For me personally, I would have struggled if not for the existence of that one best friend of mine. My life journal. My outlet. My confidante. My rock. I hope everyone has one too or somehow be able to find a way to navigate through such challenges through other means.

Hi ! I don't usually comment videos but I follow you since a few months now and as someone who's struggling the same thing as you (with some extra cause 💅✨) You said you did this video not to receive comments like that but I have to tell you, you have to hear it bro your art is fantastic, all the cover you do are magical and the work you put in the editing is amazing and it's logical you take more time to do it ! Now I want to tell you're courageous to post on the internet, I started to do it as well on TikTok a few months ago to deal with my depression, to set daily/weekly goal yk, and ik it can be a source of anxiety too as well as a motivation so yeah ! Sending everyone love and hugs! I have ADHD and have been dealing with social anxiety, adrenal fatigue and burnout for about 3 years now. I recently switched my therapist to someone to specializes in ADHD and it’s been amazing. I personally feel that every single person should have a therapist whether you have a disorder or not. I have learned that everyone struggles with something and it helps to have a non biased, non judgmental person to talk to. Much love! ❤

ANDREW … man, I needed to hear every bit of this video right now. I’ve known for a while that I needed to get back to a therapist but just the process of finding one has been so daunting that I’ve put it off. It’s so hard to fight when every ounce of energy is going toward just basic functioning. I’m going to make a list of therapists in my area and start calling them. Like you said, even if I can’t believe it right now, my life is worth fighting for. So I’m gonna fight. I’m glad you are fighting, too.

Reading this made my entire week. Obviously, not the fact that you've been having a hard time. But the fact that my video had this type of impact and the impact on the others in this comment section makes my struggles worth it 1000x over. I'm seriously honored. I also TOTALLY understand how difficult it is to find a therapist. I actually found mine through Betterhelp. It's not for everyone, but they make finding and even switching therapists super easy. If you can't find one locally, it might be a good option! But I believe in you and I know that things will begin to take a turn for the better once you start therapy again. You've got this. ❤️🫰🏻

THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VID ANDREW! I too have been dealing with anxiety (especially social anxiety) and depression all my life. This is one of the best vids I've watched in a while an ocean of useless stuff on YT. If you made a separate channel, you could easily get 10 times your views. This vid is that good. It's powerful. It's encouraging. People need to hear it. There's a massive need for these types of vids. Thank you so much for making this vid. Please make more of these! I too took various meds throughout my life. I just want to warn people about meds. I took an SSRI for 8 years. It was the worst mistake I've ever made. I still suffer health issues bc of it even thought I've been off it for 10 years. The drug companies hide negative aspects of their drugs. Meds are better than nothing, but I urge people to be very careful of meds and to do massive research online before they take anything. I wish I never ever took SSRIs. The first solution should always be knowledge and self care. Not harmful, expensive meds pushed by doctors of the corrupt health system. May God bless and guide you all. May you all find good people to walk with you.

I'm so, so, so happy this video resonated with you so deeply. Like it seriously means the world and I deeply appreciate the kind words and encouragement. Comments like these make the video worth it 100 times over. ❤️🫰🏻 As for the meds, I've read so many similar stories and it's heartbreaking. Luckily, the person I've been working with is a minimalist and believes in combining meds with self care, therapy, etc. But it's a great reminder to be sure. Meds have their side-effects and everyone needs to figure out what works best for them. It's tough, but everyone deserves a personalized, intentional approach. I, too, hope everyone finds that. 🫰🏻

I really appreciate you taking your time to share such a personal thing about your life. I've dealt with a major mental disease for several years and know exactly how it can affect every aspect of your life. The more you try to function normally or try to keep a strong façade for your family and friends, the more exhausting and overwhelming it is. The struggle to find the right combination of medication and therapy also compounds the difficulty your life already faces. Eventually I found a good combination of therapy and meds but the strongest weapon I have is my family. While I can still go out and function at least a good 80% sometimes the comfort I feel at home is better. This is where platforms like KZbin become their own form of therapy. Things like your videos and streams become so amazing especially when they deal with music. Ateez has long been my favorite group, the perseverance they have to fight for their place against these bands that are backed by wealthier and stronger companies is inspiring. You help bring them to life in your own way. The enthusiasm you have when you talk about them and cover their songs brings me extreme happiness, you can actually see your joy for sharing your music and reactions to them. It's beautiful and makes me happy. As draining as it is sometimes to deal with mental issues and how they affect your everyday life I hope you can continue to bring us your love for music. I hope music is for you what writing has been for me. COVID was a big set back with my mental issues but I pushed through it and wrote and entire book. Book one in a three part series, now I just need to muster up the nerve to convince myself to not be afraid of success and not doubt myself and find an agent. I hope someday someone can read my pages and feel as happy as your covers and smiling face make me feel. Feel free to reach out if you ever need some random stranger to talk to, I'd be more than happy to be there for you. Mia

I'm also so proud of you for fighting the way you have and writing a freaking BOOK, despite your challenges. Like I can barely write a cover sometimes, so I can't imagine how hard a freaking BOOK is. 👀 I hope you find all the success in the world and continue finding peace and support in your family and other things. thank you so much Andrew, honestly, I really appreciate you and what you do!!! I've been dealing with anxiety and depression for a decade, now I can say that but only in the process I understood, and I'm still learning. I've a hard time to transform it into something, I never feel "better enough" to do something, my mind is just mess, you can say that I live stagnant and it's frustrating, makes me wonder how people do when it's so overwhelming for me. I'm going to see ateez on the 26th and it's a 25th birthday present, but I don't feel like I deserve because I lack a lot plus it's scary to travel alone and go to a stadium full of strange people but at the same time I want find myself again because I was someone else before the pandemic, of course I won't be the same person but I know I can be stronger than I once was. we are by no means alone fellow atiny and we will break these walls too. there is a saying "while there is life there is hope" so that's how we should sail.
@ThatKpopGuitarist
@ThatKpopGuitarist 11 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for the kind words and, most importantly, for opening up about what you're going through. It's sooooooo easy to focus on what you lack and what challenges you face when you're going through a mental health battle. Like many days, that's my default response to it all, to just sit in the negativity and dwell on how things are going poorly. However, one thing my therapist taught me that's been helping is the idea of countering. So, for every negative thought or mindset, there's almost always a positive side to it you can counter it with. For example, going to a concert by yourself can be truly overwhelming, but you'll also be surrounded by fellow Atiny, who are some of the nicest and most caring people in the world. It's not easy, and it might not help you in the same way, but I at least wanted to offer that in case it does help. But at the end of the day, you deserve happiness and things like seeing Ateez live, regardless of how you feel about yourself. Better days will come and I know you find that new, better version of yourself you mentioned. Change is often hard because it feels new, or frightening, or strange. But it almost always makes us better than before. ❤️🫰🏻 You can do it! 😁

I remember how long it took for me too to finally face the situation and name it. I think that was both the hardest and bravest thing I ever done in my life. I also remember how it felt the first time I finally managed to openly talk about these problems of mine. I think talk to a therapist can be a good choice because even for me too it opened my eyes for a lot of things. Although I do believe that we can't really expect for somebody to just come and change our mind about everything. It's like your room, if you not gonna organize it nobody will do it for you. At least personally I like to think that way. Anyways, I hope everybody who struggles with same stuffs will be able to gain a little comfort from your words. Let me leave a little quote from one of my favourite song from HIM here, who knows it might resemble with someone 😊💖 I see through the darkness My way back home The journey seems endless But I'll carry on The shadows will rise And they will fall And our night drowns in dawn Amidst all the tears there's a smile That all angels will greet with an envious song One look into strangers eyes And I know where I belong

I went through a similar experience with my mental health. I was on SSRIs for the past year and I stopped taking them a month ago after tapering off. They would work for a short period of time but then they would either stop working or the side effects became too much to handle. Surprisingly, I feel better after stopping. I think the medication DID work. It served as a reset button for me. However, I don’t think everyone is meant to stay on SSRIs forever. What I’m saying is, if you’re still having a hard time finding a medication that works for you (and if you feel safe doing so) maybe trying going off of them and see how you feel?

It's super interesting that you say that actually. The SSRI's I've been on have worked for periods of time and kind of stopped working for me too. Going off of them entirely has actually been something I've seriously considered if the next one or two don't work well. All meds come with some sort of a side effect and I truly hate that. Well definitely see what happens though. I appreciate you taking the time to share that! 🙏🏻

You know, i'm not very much into this type content (or any that deviates from the original concept of a channel) but i could kinda sense something with you, actually from the BONVOYAGE guit cover, some things in the execution were "too" emotional, i can say this with knowledge, i'm also a musician. i don't know if i put it right in words, and really trying to print it as a good message. keep at it, the best outlet is music, look what you've achieved with BONVOYAGE, a "feelier, heavier" version Cheers mate.

That makes total sense! Also, you definitely picked up on it correctly. 😅😂 But thank you for the kind words, for watching, and for supporting me. I'll keep giving it my all! 🤘🏻

Not the content I expected after that smooth coffee-intro. Mental health seems to be one of the most difficult things to control in modern days. Life was tough in earlier times, but the amount and the type of input, also the large amount of possibilities (many of them seeming achievable, but remaining unreachable forever) are just exhaustening.... I always actively try to control my mindset and mental health. Often it works, sometimes not. That's the time where friends are what I need most :) Hope you're staying fine and find the right ways to deal with all your troubles and anxiety. Mybe even without medication. Greetings from a fellow Insomnia

Yeah, I see creators taking breaks or talking about their mental health a lot more now. We're faced with so much mental and emotional stimulation on a daily basis and you have to be so intentional about taking time away from it all. Mindset is sooooo important too, especially with the way the world is. 🙃 But thanks for the support. I'll keep giving it my all, whether it's through medication or something else. 🤘🏻

Sooooo you've been putting out those great videos while being on depression? Well, guess I've got no excuse then

Oh gosh, no, no, no, no! That's so far from the point. 🙃😅 I appreciate the compliment, but there's absolutely no shame in what you can and can't do while depressed. It effects everyone differently. ❤️

give Christianity a try...it saved my life because I realized the world is not just physical matter that will go away one day which means nothing matters - literally nothing. but the truth is, love lasts - we human beings last, and God loves you like a father anxiously waiting for his son to come home and who'd run out barefeet to greet his son from a mile a way.
