I am making this for tomorrow's supper. I have watched about 12 videos on making these, and your video is the one I want to make. Thank you so much❤

Kings Hawaiian rolls are basically portuguese sweet bread using a lil pineapple juice instead of sugar for the sweetness. Apparently the portuguese whalers made an impression on the Hawaiians when resuppling there

Not a fan of pepperocinis myself, I would rather put an olive tapenade or giardinera on there. Otherwise, great idea!

Try Aldi's. Pretty affordable on the cheese & cold cut aisle.

As an Italian, I wish whoever came up with that white cheese had called it something else, because that's not provolone. Check out Auricchio Provolone Piccante (Sharp Provolone) for the real stuff. That being said, the dish looks great.

95% of the time in America, "Italian" really means "Italian-American". After the massive Italian immigration in the late 19th and early 20th century, the Italian immigrants and their children pretty much lost contact with the old country and created their own Italian-esque culture in America. It took its own directions and became the "spaghetti", pizza, etc. that Americans generally think of as "Italian". I just saw a piece on PBS noting that this is the 100th anniversary of the Caesar Salad, which people generally think of as Italian. It was created in Mexico... So please recommend tastier ingredients but let's don't quibble about whether it would actually make a dish like this to be authentic Italian. Even if you come from Italy.

@@emmgeevideo You're right, you caught me. I am a second-generation Italian- American. My grandparents came over. My problem isn't with the cheese product itself, it is and has been the name. And I didn't even know about the salad, as I never really questioned or wondered where it was created, so thank you for that tidbit.

Pesto and mayo = no go. Please remove "italian" adjective from the title.Sorry but this is just italian sounding. Nothing italian in this recipe. Please stick to bbq!
