People, go follow this series! This video is - again - a perfect example of the high quality and entertaining streams by Sam. I am inclined to quote the master: BOEM!

Indeed - fully professional - following since the first time i saw. I always got a little scared by the boom though i usually expect boom after hearing a move that sacrifices or neglects some pieces but not knowing why is it that good to be played :)

When i used to watch a Gadmator channel my environment got distracted every time with "hello everyone" as i never managed to lower the volume first :) and now i am getting angry sights when there is a Boom!!! punch-line in The best of chess channel or when i happen to play Atomic variant :)

At 12:40 in the video u mistakenly say Ivanchuk resigns the game. Else an amazing presentation of this most exciting game!

Wow! Before, the semi-Slav always looked to me like a cramped, solid opening. I had no idea there were such sharp, exciting lines!

Yesterday in the interview after a match Vassily vs Gata, Vasyl was asked about the Qg7 move and this game :) and only if i understood it he remembers that somebody earlier had showed him similar position with black Queen on g8 www.twitch.tv/videos/656510698

on 10:19: what about a q sac with qxd1 + rxd1 kxb7 ? I mean the endgame is better for white after rd7+ and than picking up the f7 pawn and the g7 pawn is still on the board but it is a rook endgame and maybe those black pawns could be enough to hold?
@bloom53514 жыл бұрын
No. I analyzed the position, white crushed in rook endgame winning the pawns.

Very late to this comment if you ever see it. That was my very first thought too, but white always gobbles up blacks queen side pawns ending it a r+p and a r+3p endgame. It looks natural to do as black, but it's 100% losing.

I enjoyed the game, but even if I'm in the minority, I do want to say that I generally find sound effects (like at 5:43) more annoying than fun. Please take into consideration that at least some viewers prefer fewer distracting antics in their chess analysis. Thanks again for a fascinating game!
