Excellent interview! It's refreshing to see someone coming from where we come from actually become successful without having to compromise their core values or beliefs. I have to say I'm surprised he said he wants an Oscar because he is the type that sets the standard rather than follow it. I think that's just a pride thing with him more than anything. I don't feel an Oscar would validate him in any way at all. Damon is a special kind of man and he's unique. But he has to remember that being in your own lane also means often times you won't get the same rewards as those who have a bandwagon mentality. An Oscar can't compare to the personal rewards his ways of living produces.

Yeah that Loisaidas could do better with either the script or the screenwriting (which translates the script for the camera's purposes) the storyline didn't translate as seamlessly as it could have, I think; but the MUSIC and CINEMATOGRAPHY is EXCELLENT. All the players were good too--just need to connect the flow of the storyline better. Too Honorable is a raw, impactful storyline (improvement over Loisaidas) and the music and cinematography is again EXCELLENT, you can really see his growth as a Director. I have my subscription and I check regularly for his new shit and the stuff he's had in vaults that chronicles his eyewitness to the early formation of a culture that grew to dominate the world. Can't wait to see what he does with those ODB masters.
