Spot on. I would imagine after being one thing her entire life it would be really difficult to actually "rebrand" herself unless she hired someone to do it. The dancing is the same, the energy is the same, the clothing is the same just now it's black. She's put glitter and paint on her face forever. Not to mention her voice is not suited for this type of song. It sounds like a kid trying to be an adult, besides the fact that the lyrics just don't match the lifestyle she's portrayed for 15 years. Her image was super clean for so long so that kids could have someone to look up to and now she's trying to get everyone to shift their perspective that after two or so years of her trying to grow up a bit that a song like this is supposed to be believable coming from her? It just doesn't work.

The part that made me feel bad for her was when she said she was uncomfortable with the lyrics to the song because she isn’t a bad girl… This means either the direction this “rebrand” went was imposed on her by someone else, or that she thought that this was the only way you can go about growing up in the public eye. There’s a clip of her on launch day saying “How many titties am I gonna need to get out??“ to a crowded room of people… I thought that was so obnoxious, a completely inappropriate thing to say. But now I can see that she’s just trying to perform this out of control bad girl persona even though it’s completely counter to her self. That’s really sad.
