JT TAYLOR the only and real voice of kool and the gang
@MrNathan79111 ай бұрын
One of my all time favorite groups. Kool and the Gang was a good band with some modest hits in the mid 70's, but when JT Taylor joined the band his lead vocals took the band to new levels. So much great music was created with him being apart of the band. I had so much fun dancing along with their music; and being able to learn some of the basslines that Robert Bell was laying down. I tell you, back in that the 70's-80's era of music there was so much great music, and from all categories of music, rather it was rb, rock, soft rock, country. It didn't matter because so many great songwriters, producers, singers, musicians was bringing out great music every month it seemed. Thanks for sharing.

Kool and the gang was founded in the 60's by the Ronald and Robert Bell, not J.T. Taylor. J.T. didn't join the band until 1979. J.T really made Kool and the gang a household name, and not sure they would have done so well without him.

Kool & the Gang pop appeal started with JT, a genius addition! However, before that, they were among the tightest FUNK BANDS around. Songs like Jungle Boogie, Funky Worm, Get Down, Get Down, it goes on and on were R&B smash hits. Congrats to the Kool & The Gang's 2024 Hall of Fame induction!
@genewashington15027 ай бұрын
@@meliw4142”Jungle Boogie” has the lyric “get down, get down.” Some of their other big hits were “Hollywood Swinging”, “Summer Madness”, “Slick Superchick”, “Funky Stuff”. Then JT joined them and made them a top crossover group.
