That was an interesting one. Really enjoyed watching it. Great production quality also. Just had to laugh when you were talking about how dirty the black one was underneath. Wish here in the UK or generally in Europe cars would be that clean underneath. Never seen an E90 chassis with basically no rust.

"Engine code P1017, WTF is engine code P1017!" Check 'The Castle' out, it's an a classic from our Australian neighbors that is always recommended in the same breath as Office Space. What platform are you using for tuning? - Taz
@JamiesGarage12 жыл бұрын
I'll check it out! We don't do in house tuning. It was tuned by BRR. The black car was tuned by JR tuning. I do have a lotus v8 project car that has an AEM infinity 708.. Big learning curve for me on that one

Surprised you didnt just put the whole subframe with engine and trans straight into the white car. Just like they do in the factory.

A few reasons I didn’t do that. I wanted the transmission from the broken engine b/c it’s tuned, has a performance TC and recently serviced. I wanted to clean the subframe and working on an engine stand is easier

Could any motor be put in an E90? I have a spare 330xi and would love to put any other motor in it, essentially is all you need the motor and ECU M5,M3,335? And a great programmer/ wiring guy? Or just go LS? Already bought a 6.0 just dont know if it would be better on a diffrent build? Honest to god question, I really am not sure what is possible, just want to get the best bang for my buck 06 330xi took out T case and am looking for a 4L80 or that will fit it still has the stock rearend but have a bare bones 8.8 3.73. Point me in the correct direction just a fabricator trying to build something fast. Already have a 20010 M5 so kind of dont want those problems two fold. Cheers

Enjoyed the vid. It could have been 3 episodes long. I would have liked to see some of that diesel teardown. I just finished a N54 rwd manual swap into an E91 awd N52 wagon. I kinda wished I had done a diesel. That's crazy fast to do that in a couple nights even though it's similar motors.

Really awesome content, had been a follower for quite a bit. Always get me hooked up. Keep it up 👍🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 I had been in the Army for 5 years as an aircraft mechanic, but honestly is not my thing, I am a car enthusiast, I really love working on cars, specially BMW’s, and german cars. Been preparing to get out of the Army to work on cars and stuff, really thinking of getting my own shop at some point, but will really like some advice, not a lot of car enthusiasts in the aviation world. Army offers a program before you get out to get you certify in your program of preference mostly trade schools and stuff, one of those is the BMW MSTEP. I will like to start on that before beginning the journey, since the Army is going to cover it why not. Any advice will be highly appreciated, thanks again! 🤙🏼👍🏼

Comparable to the e46 m3 in SPG. looking forward to seeing what you have instore for it, and i am lowkey very very jealous that you found one that was tastefully moded.
