Well I imagine the ingredients cost a lot (most Japanese food will use a bunch of imported ingredients from Japan) and the rent/property expenses are really high in the US.

@@bwingbwinggwiyomi And yet, everything is simply more expensive in the US when it comes to food for some reason. I just searched it up and for reference, a Big Mac in Japan in 450 Yen (3.23 USD) whereas its 5 dollars in the US(with some states, like CA being 6-7 dollars).

You can easily make your own ramen. You dont have to make the soup or noodles completely from scratch. Add some of your own toppings. Just go to an Asian market to get the ingredients.

Man, I'll always miss the prices of ramen in Japan. 500 yen for a nice bowl of ramen at night is the best. In the US, the only places you can find ramen for those prices are in the supermarket!

Good thing is that their company name is Unchi but not うんち. People are asking why so here it is. うんち=poop But Unchi could be written in different Kanjis like 運知(fortune and knowledge), or 雲地(clouds and earth) etc., the meaning varies depending on how kanjis are used.

you know what? in Japan we have at least 2 companies named unchi or unko, unchi is behind this (and several other) ramen shop and Unco Inc., selling poop merch such as shirt, socks😅 and there's poop museum as well as poop-themed workbook for math/languages 😂

@@owitch The menu mentions it is Char-Siu, then @japaneat says, "the pork was sliced super thin, and cooks a little more in the broth" he says cooks a little more, implying it's already cooked? Maybe they just don't overcook it knowing the broth will do part of the work. But I thought Char-Siu implied it was cooked

From what I understand, Japan has smaller farms with safer farming practices and you’re much less likely to get seriously ill from raw/undercooked meat. Raw chicken is a thing there among other animals besides fish. Eggs too.

This is the recently opened Senba-Shinsaibashi branch of the Ramen War ラーメン大戦争, which has 12 branches around the country with most in the Kansai region. It is at the very popular Shinsaibashisuji shopping street and the closest metro station is Hommachi (5min walk).
