@@baydiac so basically i can't have good handwriting, it's impossible because my parents didn't realize i had dysgraphia until it was too late. it mostly means i can't hold my hands still and they cramp easily. it doesn't seem that big, but it effects me a lot. i'm very invested in art, but i can't make pleasing lines. i can't play piano for more than an hour at a time. i can't write well. i can't do anything that requires precision. i hope that explains it :)

Something that really pisses me off about the whole 'hit the gym if ur fat' argument (aside from the fact that its just gross) is that plus size people only get congratulated for weight loss once theyve reached a socially acceptable weight. But someone who is plus size could already be on a weight loss journey and have lost 100 pounds since last year and be in the best shape of their life, u dont know their fitness level just by looking at them. Also self love is a part of a lot of peoples weight loss journey, even if u are trying to lose weight u can still love ur rolls along the way :)

Idk man I’ve seen plenty of videos of kings showing their gym progress, and there are plenty where the guy starts as like 450 lbs and then gets down to 300 lbs for instance, and the comments are only supportive. But Sakura's point is that you wouldn't be able to know that someone has already lost a lot of weight in real life and a lot of people who have but are still overweight would still be treated like overweight people who haven't lost weight recently.

I agree, and I want to add that someone with rolls (as an example) could be in the most healthy, stabile and fit shape theyve ever been, even if they where gaining weight. I have been ED underweight and malnourished for 2/3 of my life, and only in recent years had the courage and willstrength to push against my obsession with the feeling of hunger, and I went further than when I was at 'normal' considered weight, because i just know myself well enough to see its a risk to be even remotely close to underweight, because one small phase of horrible mental health and nerve-wreckung tension could throw me in the cycle of loosing even more weight in unhealthy amounts, again. So being a little overweight is my skill to counter my dysfunctional behaviour, and also, as Ive spoilered at the beginning, I am actually way more fit in this state than I ever have been. I dont have chestpain or black-outs anymore and I even began building muslces in my back to have enough strength for my groceries and my extra weight so that i dont overdue my poor legs. I feel great. And its an achievement, because for me persobally, its not hard to loose weight. It scares me how easy it is. Its hard to keep it. So keep that in mund for everyone you see. No mattee if you might think they have a little more or little less, and no matter if they come from more or less, you have no idea if theyre actually actively hard working for where theyre at.

Yeah but rolls are healthy for most people. So them saying that loving your rolls is bad is a very bad take. It's also still good to love your body where it's at even while you're getting to a healthier weight. Some people can't lose weight due to disability and poverty. And some people have hormonal imbalances that cause weight gain and make it extremely difficult to lose weight, even on special diet and exercise programs. Not everyone can motivate themselves at home/has room at home, and not everyone who has that barrier can afford to go to a gym. Most gyms have membership requirements. Why can't gyms be like llibraries and be considered a public service. The advice they are giving is very based on a misunderstanding of the condition of humanity right now. And people hear this watered down, oversimplified reasoning all the time, especially us fat people. So hearing it again and again gets exhausting when there are barriers that no one actually pays attention to. Those barriers turn advice like this into bullying. It's like taunting the non-verbak kid in school with "Just speak up, no-ones going to know what you want unless you talk." Completely ignoring all the other ways to communicate aside from speaking. That's why it's so infuriating. I doubt anyone will actually read all this, so I won't be responding if you didn't read through my comment fully before replying. @@olivercharles2930

As someone who has been a size small model, even then I had "body rolls". I'm not gonna lie, that irritated me. They're pretty much telling you to have no self worth. Don't give to other people, they don't need it. I've always thought that body positivity wasn't about saying that every body type is healthy, but saying that all humans deserve to be treated with respect and not shamed regardless of what body type they have. Being severely overweight or underweight is objectively not healthy, but that shouldn't diminish your value as a person or your ability to be loved. And you can't really tell someone's health status or if they're trying to be healthier just by looking at them anyway (and being visibly very skinny isn't objectively healthy either! As a clinically underweight person, it freaks me out a bit that society seems to have this awfully harmful image of a tiny perfect body), if you're not their doctor, so that's not an excuse to fatshame.

@@annikan42 I am so glad. This quote literally changed my life. I used to be so self conscious about my art and I never thought my writing was good enough to ever go anywhere with it. Then I heard the quote, and gained the confidence to just write. At the time, it was NaNoWriMo, a writing event where the community gets together in November to write an entire novel over the month of November, every year. By the end of November, I had hit the event's word goal, and had three days left over, so I got in a huge chunk more. I did complete my first ever novel that year. I kept writing too, and the next year, not only did I go on to write a good 12+ short stories, but I went on to get EIGHT OF THEM PUBLISHED! I now have a shelf in my bookcase dedicated to short story anthologies I am actually in! And they're not self published either. I kept pushing myself to be better than no one but yesterday's me, and I succeeded! I even have some reviews of a few of the books, picking my story out specifically, to highlight as one of the reader's favourites! And I don't mean that as I'm happy I am coming out on top, I mean that as I was able to rise above my weaknesses and made work that actually stood out. I'm sorry I'm babbling your ear off, but I tell a lot of people this quote, really hoping it will inspire them as much as it had me, and you're one of the first people to react in a way I feel aligns with how I felt, more than anyone to date. And the only thing they got right was that, being body positive doesnt me a lack of self care. If you actually cared about yourself, you'd try to be healthy. Even if you dont always succeed, that fact of you trying is already self care. Oh a side note, the current body positively movement isnt really something most people should follow are its is today. It's extremely toxic and echo chambery, and will actually get you way more into self hate than if you just followed the concept of it (which is to love yourself for who you are), and also hate other people in it for certain.... like losing weight or being on the low end of being plus size.
