Thats actually pretty similar to the way my dad did it. And I still listen to the beatles, Elvis and I still get goosebumbs when I hear Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of the War of the Worlds. I am glad that I didnt grew up listening only to the charts, instead I listened to real music full of emotions and now memories.

This is fantastic. My dad made sure I grew up with music in the house and it is probably the best thing about my life. As someone who has been listening to Leonard Cohen since before I can remember, I can say that I had no clue what that line meant until I was about 15 or 16 and heard the phrase elsewhere. Really just the poetry gets to you as a child, and in a big way. Harry Nilsson is a fantastic choice too. The Point is a wonderful kids album if you've never heard of it, if I could choose an album to give to Jason Schwartzman's baby I would probably choose that one. Anyway, congrats!
