I think the way he is in the newer comics like Redhood and the Outcasts and Redhood:Outcasts is pretty accurate to how Jason is supposed to be once he has calmed down a LITTLE from the whole dying thing. He’s rash, impulsive, angry, violent, but at the same time he’s witty and clever and is shown to occasionally have a heart and a soft side, because deep down he’s still got a little bit of Robin in him. And now in Batman: Urban Legends, the same thing. To me this was fantastic character development for Jason, showing that he has calmed down a little but is still angry and has a blood lust (like when he “killed” Penguin on live television in Redhood and the Outcasts), while also having a moral code and sense of humanity.

I hate the casting for Jason in Titans, but I have to admit the characterization and dialogue of him as pre-Redhood/young Jason is pretty accurate and spot on. Also, to me Jensen Ackles was the perfect voice for Redhood/Jason, the perfect amount of pain and anger and frustration all in one, so his voice is always how I hear Jason’s dialogue in the comics now.

I watched the under the hood movie in 2011 Saw Arkham knight and was like how they finally added the best “robin” it was pretty obvious.
