Please explain biomechanically how pointing your toes effects the rectus femoris (upper thighs) ?
@RedZAgs1934 жыл бұрын
I'd assume it's stretching your shin and likely the muscle around your knee so it removes emphasis. Then it's just the next muscle directly in line with the shin.

+Abhisekh Singh start really low and bump up till you can feel the weight and the muscle working
@madmike9876558 жыл бұрын
+Abhisekh Singh I will give you a better tip.... DONT EVEN DO ANY OF THOSE!!! The reason I say this is, you play badminton, you don't need these workouts for a sport like that, because the only thing you're lifting is yourself! Stick to squats, go outside and find some steps where there might be something like 10 - 20 steps... and practice jumping them, go all the way down ass to grass and jump hard to see how many steps you can clear... You can incorporate lunges as well. so yeah, practice doing squats for reps, explosive squats, jump squats and all those sorts of muscles.. if you have any leg adductor and abductor machines in the gym, use those to work on the inner and outer parts of the quads as they will be prone to injury in something like badminton if you've never worked on them before.

Point the toes for upper quads??? Please explain?
@6789uiop9 жыл бұрын
JimitriG I have no idea. But I'm fairly sure Jay has a very good idea. I'm gonna try it.
@turnippatrol46079 жыл бұрын
JimitriG The leg extension is great for the upper quads (rectus femoris muscle) but I don't see how it has anything to do with pointing the toes. When you lift your hips up off the seat a little bit and lean backwards while doing the extensions you stretch the upper quads, which also function as hip flexors, so there is more tension up there.
@JimitriG9 жыл бұрын
Turnip Patrol that bit makes sense. could be a cue that somehow helps to activate the muscle...

This is exactly kzbin.infoUgkxUHHotQRjIQnfuxEeVotlkHVYWH0DXZoS what I needed to get some exercise while I'm stuck at my desk all day. It's just the right size. Only downsides are that the right oeddale unscrews itself while I use it and increasing the tension causes it to squeak while in use. Both are minor issues that aren't that important to me. So I give it 5 stars.

@nickrunaway26 жыл бұрын
@@Dave-sc5jm late response, but you clearly are the one who knows 'fuck all mate' since you dont even know where the toe flexors attach on the human body. they dont even attach to the femur (upper leg bone) which means its literally impossible for pointing your toes to have any effect on a quadricep contraction. i have studied anatomy at university
