@@kjame7741 Totally cool and respect your choice to say so. But then why are you wasting your precious time (your choice how you spend your time after all) watching this, only to throw out negative energy? A LOT of people (read the comments) benefitted from this interview. No need to be disrespectful to Steven and Jay because this was one kick ass interview. Anyway, it is a waste of time throwing out negative energy in to this world because I have discovered when you do that, that shit you throw out only comes back your way eventually. If you are NOT interested (???), you would not have watched at least some of this because you had enough interest and time to make a comment.

I have attempted to meditate many times in my life and prior to this CD the only success I've experienced is with live guided meditation. kzbin.infoUgkxzpa8CIfZcihW4Z0F_ja0QF3W9KIatrsq This is the first CD I've used that cuts through my unmedicated ADHD and enables me to truly relax and experience a quiet and energizing interval. The instructors voice is very soothing and pleasant to listen to. I am easily able to sit successfully through the entire CD, and for quite some time after. I cannot adequately express how tremendously helpful this CD has been on my spiritual journey!! Two thumbs up and 10 stars!

Literally cannot express how valuable this particular chat has been to me. Jay always always just imparts SO much wisdom every time I’ve listened to him. Steven, you as always have the most intelligent and authentic questions and insights to add to the conversations you host. Also, did a double take hearing Jay say he talks to himself in his car. That’s literally been my self-therapy for the last 3 years - going for a long drive to talk to myself, recording a voice memo to myself talking out loud and going for long walks just to talk myself through a good or bad day. Gave me hope to hear him say that he does the very same because it tells me I’ve been on a good path in working on myself. Thanks so much for this fantastic conversation. 🙏🏼

Yes, it was great 👍 At some point I was really getting annoyed by the perfection and all the amazing stuff in their lives. And then, Steven turned it around and made, what he always does. He started asking the right questions. Difficult and the sincerity and vulnerability they both shown blew me away. It was mind blowing. It is if Steven is reaching in my mind, and pulling the bigger questions from there. I simply loved the part about their weakness. Not because it brings me joy to hear other struggle. But because I didn’t feel inferior. Felt like a human being with flaws and strengths. Like both of them. Thank you 🙏 ❤

It warmed my heart so much to hear Jay say that he wanted to be able to offer something to people who were struggling during the pandemic. The fact that he spent some of his time every day for 40 days to teach people how to meditate so that they could have a little chunk of time where they could feel calm and try to get their mind and their physical self back in alignment amongst all the stress and the fear and the sadness was just incredible! ❤️

It's hard to follow our own advise, there's no shame in that. You're still wise and the knowledge is still there to tap into. Some people lean towards helping others before themselves and that's a beautiful thing. I suppose it's about finding a balance between helping others and ourselves, but our own and other people's needs aren't consistent. Taking those few moments a day to connect with ourselves is a great idea to reset and rebalance. Another fab podcast! Loving what you're doing here, Steven!

*"We're a conversation in the Universe."* ~ Jay Shetty (What a unique way to see human existence and all that we are, love it!) I love how Jay questioned if he had married the right person, even after all the years they'd been together. It's reassuring to know he feels those same human emotions, doubts as we all do and that's what unites us all. That we're not alone in having those doubtful moments, and that it's okay. That it's simply a matter of investigating where those doubts really come from. Sometime we just need to get out of our own heads, and see the green grass that is already present in our lives. I found this channel randomly, and so glad I did. I'm a huge fan of Jay as it is, and finding another podcast with gems of wisdom is always welcomed

This podcast really changed my opinion of Jay Shetty. I previously thought (after having watched quite a few of his videos) that he was justifiably successful because of his hard work, but his messaging was a bit wishy washy and not really saying anything particularly meaningful. It just all came across a little vague and ‘fake guru’… but he was really clear and precise in his messaging on this podcast and I wish him nothing but continued success. Thank you! This has made me realise I should always aim to better in my actions and thoughts. 🤙🏾❤️

This was so awesome...I'm 20 yrs of age and I found this book called Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents by Dr. Lindsay Gibson, which just talks about what Jay told about his challenges were, and I was able to connect very well. So for those who want to know more , go through that book and also checkout Attached by Levine and Heller. This video reminded me to stay grounded and ok with the conflicted state I'm in at the moment wherein I know what to do but I still make mistakes, and that yup no one has or will ever figure out how to live 100% perfectly. Also note that Jay's voice was a bit louder and yours was a bit off, so increase the gain. But other than that the questions were so OP, I was like wow, someday I want to be successful as well as humble like these guys right here. Thank you so much for this! May we all stay blessed and happy.

Monday morning starting right. - "You can't give someone a discount and then expect them to pay full price." So true. Sacrifice is so undervalued and relegated to spiritual spheres only, but it's actually a virtue we are meant to gift to one another. - Your expectations from others inform you of your needs. How can you give it to yourself? - Solitude and self-talking are highly overlooked. As a nanny, I sometimes struggle with parents always hovering over their kids. Letting them be with themselves and self-talking is one of the most undermined developmental behaviour. - "No one fulfils the divine search". We are spiritual beings. Bible says that we are born with eternity( divinity ) in our hearts. Misidentifying religion and spirituality is one of the biggest invisible agents of personal dissatisfaction and relationships breakers. - " What looks like a business on the outside is purpose inside", or when passions meet values. - Being spiritual is not being poor, the difference is how much value we place in people vs things. - I agree with Jay. In search of like-minded people or tribes, we miss precious experiences life can only give us through unlikely people, places, and events. - "Meditation is an opportunity to build a relationship with yourself". Calm and the Waking up app are the best ones I've used so far in meditation. Highly recommend. One of my top episodes so far. Thank you, Steven and Jay.

That angled camera on the side of Steven that shows both guest and host systematically make Steven look like a giant. the show is amazing as every. episode, but sorry I had to say it because I have been observing it from many episodes and this time there was a different shot that balanced the proportions finally !!

Jay Shetty. The only Jay that I am proudly gladly to be namesakes with regardless of our different gender. Just a great, spot on conversation. Just feeling so blessed.

Thank you both for this. I have a skincare brand that I’ve worked on for any years as a holistic esthetician. Through the 20 years of me keeping to my ideas of simplicity and embracing plant medicine the trend is now growing to embrace natural beauty more and I get a little discouraged by continuing to build but this podcast (not only this one but the entire podcast) has really helped to put more fuel in my soul to keep going! Thank you so much for your contribution to us all! Much gratitude

The bromance between you both is just 🤗. Although Jay is a household name of many years, I've not consumed his content as I 'wrongly' assumed it would be too 'woo woo'. As a weekly listener of DOAC I tuned in and I'm glad I did. It was good to hear him share his words in a way which I could connect with and also which were a bit of theory a bit of practical (not woo woo at all)... I'm now a fan. Thanks Jay for sharing your knowledge and thanks Steven for another great ep.

Always loved jay shetty and he teaches me a lot every time I watch him but the loneliness versus solitude thing made my jaw drop. I hate being by myself and often feel lonely even though I enjoy spirituality and meditation but him reframing that for me blew my mind

Each podcast you have Steven, I am caught off guard when I hear the words, "We have a closing tradition on this podcast..." My brain keeps leaning into a 3hr conversational commitment, as I am so entranced by your guests like Jay Shetty.

A lot of facts that resignate with me as just a 17 year old kid finding his path and being clueless as to whats next after sixth form. We are being told to the robots and suppressing this inner voice that we have, I tell people this and they think im snorting fairy dust when I plan to live a life outside the 9 to 5 rather than going to uni, getting a job, getting married, raising a family, retiring then dying, I physically cannot live like that. But yeah I've definitely noticed this with the whole breathing thing, I'm an identical twin, I am just a teen stepping into the adult world, I usually have my twin around me to always do the talking and to help suppress my anxiety as I use him as a back bone but the other day I was going into the orthodontists on my own (my parents don't take me in anymore and haven't for a long time), this time my twin wasn't with me and for a moment my heart was racing, overthinking what to say at the desk, how to go in to this place full of strangers and keep my cool... all I did was take deep breathes and I felt realigned again. It wasn't that big of a deal and I just went and did it. Coz as you say, sometimes our brains are dragging slowly and our bodies are moving to fast.

Beautiful conversation between these two guys. I think Jay Shetty gets better and better. He’s so articulate and so down to earth and open with explaining how he is also flawed and how what he teaches also applies to him. This keeps him relatable
