On this special episode of On Purpose, I got to sit down with my good friend Gary Vee.
Gary is an investor, a serial entrepreneur and a 5 time New York Times bestselling author.
We got to talk in depth about how to stop caring what people think about you, why you should focus on happiness not hustle and why you need to contextualize advice before you decide to listen to it.
There are so many teachable moments in this episode and I know you will learn so much!
Hi, it’s Jay! I'd love to keep in touch. Add me on Messenger and you'll be the first to know about my latest podcast episodes, free courses, and BIG announcements every week! Click here:

I am honestly so proud that Jay is winning on so many levels. As someone who always wanted a role model to look upto, bullied for being different and being Indian. Wow, we have come such a long way! Jay is adding so much value in the world spiritually, mentally and energetically. I can't even explain the amount of gratitude I feel. Thank you, Jay

Believe it or not, we're not that special. We go through our days thinking about how other people might be judging us. But the truth is-those people are thinking the exact same thing. No one in today's "smartphone-crazed" society has time in their schedule to think more than a brief second about us. The fact of the matter is, when we do have time get our thoughts straight, we're too busy thinking about ourselves and our own shortcomings-not others.

I can't even put all my thoughts into words. This was incredible to witness. The flow, sharing of ideas, the unique perspectives that literally squared and multiplied and evolved in this podcast. Wow. I think the advice to be reflective about the advice we receive and put in context, really understand it, analyze it, pick it apart, is SO important. It made me look at myself in the mirror and just say who even am I? Because I feel one mistake Ive made in the past is that I've built myself up on the advice of others that was good advice for them but might not be for me. And its so confusing to even think about because I and everyone else in the world is built on the work and love of other people. It definitely does take immense self awareness to take advice. I'm literally rethinking my life rn... also about to go purge my insta because I'm definitely subscribing to way too many ppl just in it for the dollars. Thank you for this amazing piece of yourselves you just shared with the world. Bravo.

Because that's how I felt when I really started hearing you speaking I felt the same way and I hear others too and mixed all that positive wisdom and inject that to my veins like if I was addicted to heroin. It helped me communicate better with my love ones. JUST wanted to say that you have made a HUGE difference with my life and now I'm spreading that wisdom with my son. @garyvee - please consider mentioning things you "regret" or things you want to let others know so perhaps they parent better. e.g. I want to be sure to push my kids and let them know they can do anything; however, I don't want to push them so much that they don't have fun in their high school years (but at the same time don't FEEL entitled) That is the thing I never want them to feel. Love your insights, thank you! Also to Jay! Thank you!

Respectfully, 🙏🏾 Your questions fascinate me because how you execute entrepreneurship as a personality fascinates me 😊🙏🏾 ⁉️around @14:30 from @GaryVee what is the concept of letting go The concept of letting go is congruent with the concept of un-attachment in a spiritual sense...I think this comment section is not the best place to break this down but would love to chat via video, in person, call to discuss that lol 😅 Maybe I’m bold for saying this but I feel I come from a similar place that you and Jay Shetty is referring to. I simply call it experiencing life from its Oneness Self. Easy to understand but understanding it consciously has been a journey for me and from the look of Shetty’s content, him as well. I truly believe the world is changing in a big way and getting content like this out (I even stopped the video at 14 min) is key for the next generations health mentally, spiritually, and physically. Thank you Jay Shetty and Gary Vee 💙💪🏾🕉 My dream would be to treat you two Gentelman to lunch or dinner and discuss this topic ✊🏾🙏🏾💙 Maybe this is bold to some but I’m not confused of my talent, gift, and purpose. It’s to be sitting at tables with great people who aren’t afraid to change the world. Guess I’ll blame the “big talk” on growing up in the Chicago environment mixed in with serving 8 years of military and being a leader in three tours to Afghan Sincerely and respectfully, Blu Yogi 😊🙏🏾

In the beginning of the podcast, i was following the positivity not even bothered his language. Later, kind of noisy. Influencing the negativity, seems like taking about others. By my nature I only look good on others, I don't complain about anything or anyone. I always being happy, love people. At the same time always wish why can every channel doesn't matter what media, focus on some simple clear message for all the people. Not confuse or influence others anything or any messages. Just let them be them, let them figure out... Jay, When I listen your voice, gives peace, devotion, love, life, gratitude. God gift for you.
