I enjoy mine too. The bright hardware looks good on your rig. I went with the black hardware which if that was not offered would have been a deal killer for my installation. I didn’t want the bright hardware messing with my aesthetics. Good video thank you.

Great video! How much does the rack weight? Do you know the static and dynamic capacities? Any wind noise with just the rack?

Best Top Granite Series Rack and add a Barricade extension Kit (they have identical connections) with Wind Farring. You’ll be happy. On sale for $200 + $150 for the extension to get a full rack. Low pro, and solid, no drill, all rain gutter clamps (12 total)

That is a great deal.

@@MohawkDaveOffRoad the issue is, it seems Barricade are stopping production of the extension, so it’ll be harder and harder to find. But if you like that style of gutter rail rack (no drill) get the Bestop, the Barricade version cost 3 to 4 times more.

Interesting video 👏🏼 I’m looking for a roof rack also with the purpose as a base for my ham radio antennas. In this case the roof rack must be electrically grounded with the vehicle. Looks like both of these are isolated from the vehicle. Do you think the Jcr became grounded with the optional reinforcement brackets? Thanks

Thanks, it is possible that JCR is grounded with the reinforcement brackets as it goes to the body of the Jeep. You could also consider running a grounding wire to the roof rack directly from the body, frame, or even the battery in order to ground the roof rack.

Do you plan to install the reinforcements? Drilling the roof.

Curious on this too. I have run without and just ordered the reinforcements, but super hesitant to cut into my top.

Does the JCR work well for a roof top tent?
@MohawkDaveOffRoad26 күн бұрын
I have not tried yet, but they do have a reinforcement kit available for exactly that reason.

Why would you not just get the Rhino Pioneer? It is the best without question.

While these might work well for some people, they’re not for me. I find them extremely overpriced and not very practical. They don't make full use of the rooftop space and have limited adjustability for mounting. Additionally, they don’t support mounting on the sides of the rails or crossbars, and their proprietary spacing doesn’t align with the industry-standard 1x2 extrusions. Most importantly, I simply dislike their appearance and the way they stand off the roof.
