ooh geesh...i would always use that kick and sometime the roundhouse or the Hook kick will get through and onto my hands (luckly) and I never realize that i was missing those kicks because of the angles. is it possible to block the roundhouse or hook kick by changing the angle of the stop kick? Thanks for the lesson...

I use this all the time its very effective out in the real world . . . . on big guys aim for the knee anterior dislocation really hurts !! it comes out of the blue and is virtually impossible to defend against follow up with body/jawline shots . .

A martial artist can master the skill to kick through a solid object after years of frequent strength training in conjunction with long gruelling hours of practice. Moreover a real good kicking practitioner has the advantage in the street if they were with the environmental real estate to launch their leg tool in multiple times from various angels. It would be more realistic to place a particular emphasis on advising the student to understand immediate ways to basically neutralize a strong point of an opposition that isn't fixed within the mind set of the do jo since fighting situations are more complex no matter if it's against a kick a punch a knife a bat a stick a gun or multiple attackers. There are no rules in real fighting outside of the do jo.

I've seen a bunch of your videos and some stuff I like but using your forearms to block a round house kick is asking to have your forearms broken I don't care how tight you clench you hand it will break against a good power kicker

You ever thought of using a lead roundhouse knee into his shin as he fires a roundhouse kick? I can imagine how incredibly painful it would be to be intercepted by such a move. This would almost be the equivalent of roundhouse kicking your shin against a corner of a wall. Surely the tibia bone would easily snap.

There are many types Jeet teks saying that that it's not effective makes it sound like you don't understand JKD...I'm not saying you don't.... Besides the power of Jeet Tek is what it does to the body not the damage it does to the leg

I've done this before in fights. Surprises the hell out of everyone when I do. I'll put my body into to so it knocks the person on there ass everytime. Just make sure the aggressors is following threw with their kick and not throwing a fake. Otherwise your leaving yourself open for hurt.

I actually watched the video just because of your comment. For me I don't think he will have any issue with any normal or even most skilled fighters kicking him that way. From my point of view it is a very sound technique. I'm thinking him doing this will be fine, for him. others, who haven't trained for this it may not be a good idea to do, but when it's all said and done I'd rather get a broken arm than a collapsed rib cage. Worst case better to heal up from a broken arm than have your ribs broke, ram into your lungs and other organs. Also my arms are not even close to his size and even I can defend a round house like that. proper training and developed skill sets allow people to do what a lot think couldn't happen.

First of all in a real fight kicking high is dangerous. Second, you arms are like my legs mean, what i can stop with mine?. Is much better take the distance by kicks..
