What has transpired?? Family members living and working in the US the are afraid for their livelihoods and their safety??? One of the big problems in America is our legacy media (msnbc, Washington Post, etc.) have failed to provide balanced, 4th estate journalism. Most of the people that pursue that profession are very liberal and it shows on what they cover, and more importantly, what they don't. **You actually think Trump winning means people aren't safe. Jen Rubin, for example used to claim she was a republican but if you ever read anything she wrote, it would be impossible to conclude that was true. She/wash post claimed she was to give the illusion they were offering all voices. They weren't... it was dishonest. America sent a message to Rubin... the legacy media... and the uber-left that they have crossed the line by not only electing Trump, but giving the republicans the House and Senate. That actually makes him far, far more dangerous. Trump does not now and has never cared about the longevity of the republican party. He is entirely self-interested. Over the course of the next four years (especially the next two, since we don't know what will happen in the mid-terms) he will be able to burn the country down domestically and internationally with absolutely zero concern over the effect that destruction will have on his own political future. Not to mention the fact that this time around he will have almost total criminal immunity - plus the power of the pardon with which to protect the henchmen in his administration who agree to his plots. The number of potential GOP "hold outs" in the House and Senate are very few and very spineless. Full-blown MAGA psychosis is the order of the day in the GOP.

I kno poeople who think it's a GOOD IDEA to get rid of Dept. of Ed., saying"Educaiton should be a STATE 7 LOCAL issue!!!' and "I want MORE SCHOOL CHOICE!" Problem is the MAJORITY of children WON'T get any sort of REAL choice--only the upper-middle-class 7 Wealthy. Public schools are a FOUNDATIONAL part of real democracy.
