The folks that click a thumbs down...nobody notices or cares...the ones that get negative and "in your face" need a life and to put themselves in your shoes so that they can know what you are actually doing and going through. The emotions that you feel are all real. We really love being "with you" on this Journey and are so happy that you have allowed...no...taken your time...to include us. I've been following your journey since day 5 or so, and I always knew that you were going to ace this hike. It is so exciting to know that you are just a week or so away from the finish line. I am sure that you've had your share of frustrations (heat, cold, pain, fear, bugs, dirt) but the fact that you hiked every step of the way and are ready to cross the border just goes to show that you overcame every situation, and relied on yourself to keep going. Love the video :>) Don't worry about the Internet Trolls... you won't see them on the trail. That would require them to have their moms make their lunch, drive them to the trail head and make sure they had wifi so they could post complaints about hiking while they're sitting in their "antigravity chairs" playing video games beside the trail! When you get to Canada, be sure and get gravy on your French fries... you've got a lot of calories to replace :>)

This was great! Thanks so much for taking the time to answer all the questions. 👍. And I am so sorry some people have a "Father Knows Best" mentality about things. (That's an old TV show from the days of black and white TV screens 😉) I've seen a few thumbs down for the videos from the very beginning. I just figured it was possibly an ex, or from someone who was not very nice. Those few numbers are greatly off-set by all the rest of us who are cheering you on with joy and admiration. I see a few more thumbs down this morning, but they may be coming from the same person. There is a way to cast multiple 'votes' on KZbin that they may be using. As others have said here, though, any negative comments are always about that person's self esteem and view of the world. Jealousy of another person's success is never pretty. You keep on truckin' though, and we will cry tears of joy when we see you at the monument on the border! 🍾🎊👍

Great Q/A....you are such a sincere sweetheart....but tough as nails when it comes to that trail....isn’t it amazing how far you have come in so many ways from where you started....i’m sure you have grown stronger in so many ways beyond physical strength. I always find when the hiker finishes the trail and posts their last trail vlog, I go back and watch a few of the first trail day vids, and that is where it is so striking to see the changes. Usually you just have a feeling from the start if a person is going to make it to the end or not and usually it has a lot more to do with their mindset and personality than physicality....can’t wait to hear from you post trail after you have had a chance to digest it all for yourself....love ya Starburst!!

Nice Q&A! Sorry to hear you've had some negative commenters. This part of the trail is so beautiful: Indian Heaven, Goat Rocks, the North Cascades, all the way up through Canada. So excited that youre almost done! I wanted to hike the AT for the last few years, but after watching you for about a month on the PCT, I wanted to do that one first. However, my friend/hiking partner brought me back to earth, and we are hiking the AT next year. PCT will follow, at least for me lol. Thanks for the videos, your positive personality is amazing and is giving me and so many other people the drive to get out there and face our fears. I'm in Oregon right now until December, and I'm trying to hike as much as I can, but all the bad news I'm hearing of mountain lions attacking others, and your experience... not sure I should be out there alone lol. I’ve been following your travels for a few weeks now and I’ve been super inspired by your courage to get out on the trail and keep going no matter the circumstances...
