It’s highly likely Silver appears as a major character within the paramount verse the only thing he really needs to truly enact a year of Silver is a prominent role in the games.

Silver would probably get a lot more attention and be used more if he didn't debut in the game that nearly killed the franchise. I know a lot are pushing for an 06 remake to give it a second chance, but I think it'd be better if they did more of a spiritual successor to bring Silver back in the spotlight similar to how Shadow Generations was to Shadow's solo game.

I so wish that they would give Silver more spotlight, but most of the time it feels like they barely care aboit him anymore,if at all. It's clear from 06 that he was meant to be a huge character but because it failed they don't include him in many games anymore. And it's awful to watch because he's such an amazing character. He deserves to atleast play a good role in future mainline games,and be playable again.

I wouldn’t exactly categorize his role in Sonic Forces as worthless, don’t get me wrong he does look very nerfed in the game, but he did knock that phantom ruby prototype off of Infinite during their fight, which did help the Rookie prevent Eggman’s virtual sun from killing everyone. So I would categorize Silver’s role in Sonic Forces as Barely Does Anything.

I always believe that Silver is only supposed to exist during the Solaris Project due to that fact that Sonic Team just randomly tosses him in future games (canon or non canon). As bad as Sonic 06 was, it was the only game where Silver served an actual purpose. It wouldn't be a bad idea to restore the Solaris timeline and then Silver gets his purpose back.

honestly, the only person in forces that was used to it's fullest was eggman, it's like 80% of the game's story was worked around him and they through "oh shit, we forgot the others" between tails only remembered for that scene where he's scared silver getting beaten by infinite both sonic barely doing much + modern having his ass hand over like a chilidog on a plate twice infinite being hella underwork shadow only having importance in his side story (another reason i hate him) and basically everyone else hanging out at the base on a cup of hot chocolate yea, eggman was the only one that was worked on

I don't really agree. Tails is just himself from Colors, Silver (I have written a couple comments about him, you can check them out) is far from useless, Sonic... he's okay ( both versions), Infinite is greatly written, I just like arrogant villains like him, Shadow turns out to be the accidental creator of Infinite, and that is kinda ironic if you ask me, and others... It depends. Chaotix are kinda useless, Amy is okay, she at least is kind of emotional, Knuckles is kind of important ( I wanna remind you who planned "Big Wave") Rouge is basically the hacker of the team, and Avatar is pretty important. Eggman... Well, if Infinite would not be so arrogant , Eggman would have won. But that is not eggman's fault, but Infinite's .

I was 12 back when 06 came out, and that game together with the Adventure games (especially 2) solidified my hyperfixation into the Sonicverse during my teens. And Silver was THE ONE. Idk why I was so obsessed with him, but I had tons of pics and posters of him and even learned to draw him. Silver imo is underrated and is my favorite Hedgehog character. I love how he looks his story in 06 is nice. Sad we rarely see him in Mainline sonic games or another great story. I have recently play Sonic generations and yeah his rival fight is the best out of them all, maybe even the only good boss fight in Sonic generations. And like you said Forces try to do something for him but most of the time he is background. Still a nice ranking to Silver.
