I really needed this. I am often nervous. It started when I moved to Nashville in 2007. A friend invited me to a shed. I thought the approach would be like a classroom session. Nah… if I knew then what I know now. My old strings and high action is a testament to the skill level I was at the time. I’m self taught and never had a true teacher for bass guitar. By the grace of God using your site and Hal Leonard books I’ve grown a lot. Thanks. Nick Head referenced you by the way.

Yessir! Can’t even begin to tell you what having you as a coach has meant to me man. Not every stellar musician can teach, and not every one out here teaching is a stellar musician… I’m glad to have both in you 💪🏽

Can you do a lesson or give me some tips on muting when playing slap bass on a 5 string bass? I'm trying to find a method for muting the B string .

Jeremy, your right, I was settling. .you challenged me with the points you made and I appreciate this video very much. As specially with the point of knowing not only your part but the whole music. Thank You!! Also, i got to ask you, what pedal or program software are you using to bring the attack that you get from your bass? That sound is awesome!!💪🏾

Gm, Jermaine, I started playing for a church, but I haven’t played in a while. I was outclassed by the organ player, he wasn’t doing it on purpose, some of the songs that was played wasn’t played like they are played on the main songs tracks which I knew how to play. I tried to play with the music but it was hard playing with the organ because I couldn’t hear the melody. I am used to practicing what songs to be played not doing session work. You have any advice for me.
