Although I will travel on the train in a so called Rail Bed, next year, I miss genuine SLEEPING CARS. However, I am pleased to see a movie of the rail bed cars in use.

I booked a seat ticket when I went to Gladstone in 2019, the vegetarian Lasagna was delicious, I recommend ordering that for dinner on the train. But yes this definitely a good train to see the east cost of Queensland. It was cheap for me because I have a concession card.

Well made, nice slow panning, which I like to do, myself when making videos. I have used the Rail Bed a few times. WAY better than sitting up, but I would really want the privacy and security of a SLEEPER. Gladstone is reached at a hell of a time, but there isn't really a choice! Unless some day, QR run say three days a week on one timetable and three days a week on a different timetable. . . . . to better suit certain destinations. Say 9am and 9pm from Cairns depending on the day of travel. That WAS done many years ago, with the Sunlander as you may know.

FURTHER information that may assist potential passengers. One CAN order from the snack bar menue instead of the Rail Bed car, menu. I have had Bangers and Mash, for example. For overseas views, that means Sausages and Mashed potato! Yes, QR DO call the meal, as I described. Simple meals such as meat pies etc, are also available. FREE to Rail Bed passengers, of course!

This is the ultimate shit, I booked this for townsville-Brisbane trip and now I can't fucking wait to travel like this! Interesting how I can travel like this too on a tight budget and 100 years ago this sort of travel would have only been available to the rich! Truly the shit!

What a joke! RailBed, indeed. Cast-off out-of-date Airline business-class seats, which are NOT flat. The Q R management must think that the travelling public with take to this nonsense.
