Jesus Played a Saxophone? - Roundtable Teaser

Every book in the New Testament, with the exception of Philemon, contains warnings about false teachings. Wolves in sheep's clothing pose a real threat to believers, and Scripture teaches us to mark and avoid them (Romans 16:17-18). However, there is substantial disagreement within the church regarding the biblical definitions of a "false teacher" and "false prophet". This debate is tied to differing views on the nature and continuation of the Holy Spirit's gifts, particularly the gifts of healing, prophecy, and tongues.
In a four-hour roundtable discussion, Justin Peters, Jim Osman, Michael Brown, and Sam Storms sit down to discuss these disagreements in person for the first time. We trust that this conversation will edify the body of Christ and provide clarity on these divisive, yet critical, issues.

Sam let’s examine it against scripture. I have never read a scripture that said Jesus appeared to anyone playing an instrument. How could anything like that fulfill the work of the kingdom of God? I am glad you asked. It doesn’t and accomplishes nothing. So it is a false gospel.

It’s really a shame because these discussions are so important. This is what has to happen so we as a church can in unity reject obvious false teachings and teachers and be honest with ourselves. If something is worth defending then it can be defended. If it’s ridiculous then we don’t need to pretend it’s not

@@silver292 Yes we have a bias. But our agreement was always that they would be able to review our editing and approve it before signing an appearance release. That eliminates trust issues.

The question isn’t could He, the question is : is this actually true? And is it consistent with what we see in scripture? Both of those are no. Another question is: Does this make a mockery out of Christ? Absolutely yes!

Justin Peters and John MacArthur lie about the gifts not being in operation today. They've taken the scripture out of context, read the whole chapter of 1 Corinthians 13 carefully and you'll see that tongues cease when the whole church is taken up into Glory where we will be with God forever.
