The "Attitude Era" style of wrestling hasn't drawn money since the Ruthless Aggression Era ended. WWE gave it up and other people have tried it (like TNA) and failed. The blood and guts, high spots, and tits 'n ass went on from 1997 to about 2008. We saw too much of it. When people say they want it back, they want that feeling they had back. Nostalgia makes fools of us all.

Reminds me of a videogame company where my brother and a bunch of my friends used to work at. They were called Artificial Mind and Movement, or A2M for short. Every referred to them as A2M. But when you googled A2M all you got was 'ass to mouth' porn instead of the video game company. My brother was still working there when they had a staff meeting and someone brought that up. They renamed the company shortly thereafter to Behavior Interactive. TNA wrestling is the same, it's a horrible name for a wrestling company. It's embarrassing to say I'm watching TNA wrestling when my wife asks what I am watching, because she thinks I am saying Tits and Ass Wrestling.

No one in the audience at BfG seemed upset about about the name change at all, but quite the opposite. I am yet to see someone else besides Jim and Brian criticizing this move. Pretty much everyone kept calling it TNA over these years, and pretty much everyone reacting to this online agrees that reverting to the brand that actually has name recognition was the normal thing to do. They want fans that quit watching it ovwr the years to give it another try and this is just the way to do it! Play the nostalgia card, get them to watch, make it good, keep them as weekly viewers. It's just what Jim always says, "how can I miss you if you never leave". TNA as a brand "left" when fans "had enough of it", it remaimed gone untill they felt people really "miss it", and is now making the news because it is returning, making everyone talking about it and potentially wanting to give it another try.

It's definitely a day with a name that ends with the letter "Y"... Why doesn't Russo go back to his "Christian wrestling league" he had for a while. Nuns In Thongs Wrestling, Hole Of Glory, Boobs 'N' Jeebus, or whatever that nonsense was named. I'm rewatching WCW chronologically and I'm in early 1999 now. Russo hasn't even shown up yet and I've already had enough of him. The guy is like herpes, the BS never ends. Just when you don't think about him anymore, whoops - there he is again, Vince Ru-sore!

@@WarGhoulKharas People thinking they are bound to AXS Tv don't know business they own 95% of Impact so makes no sense to not move for more views and more money to a new station and I strongly disagree people do care it's just harder to watch TNA because it is in less homes for now but in their rebrand they are running bigger arena's upgrading production I think they are shooting for Fox when WWE moves Smackdown out in 24. Corny love him but is biased against TNA they have nothing to do with Russo now and have not for a long time and advertisers these days don't care if TNA could stand for something vulgar TNA has a huge international market bigger then AEW so if it was a problem this would not be the case.
