I think this is gonna be a program where we get to see Otis finally come into his own. He deserves it too. Dude's been doing comedic stuff for ages but he's a hell of a hoss, on top of being a legit shooter. He's got Greco-Roman credentials and was even considered for the Olympic team in 2012. If they started booking him like Vader, I think Jim would come around quick.

Otis is great. Once the Alpha Academy stuff is resolved and he’s done his stint as Gable’s reluctant henchman he can make another breakout as a face and maybe be the one to take the Intercontinental from Gable. In a year or two. Gable deserves a great big heel title reign once he takes the title from Sami. Maxine I feel bad for. She’s still just learning and for that I have to give her kudos. But it’s kind of baffling that she’s learning in the most prominent and well publicised place possible. To really learn and develop she should probably be in NXT or the indies but her role as a manager means she’s on main roster WWE. I like having her around but I can’t really disagree with the people that say she shouldn’t be on the roster. Maybe she’s should just be having dark matches while she learns and sticking to a management role on screen for now. Tozawa is just Tozawa. He’s just sort of around. I guess he’s got it as good as it’s gonna get for him. He’s been on the undercard for years and years, being a small part of a faction is probably where he belongs. Gable himself is just great. I wished they’d pulled the pin on him while he was face so he could have a good long Intercontinental reign as he was but they didn’t so I hope they’ll finally do it now he’s a heel.

Feel bad for Otis after had to came up via Vince booking and now Jim hates him for all eternity His amateur background is somewhat comparable to Gable's although he didnt make the Olympic team - a lot more could be done with him from a serious athletic angle

here's the problem: if they eventually turn on him (which should be a faceturn on paper), where do they go from there? - if otis wins, does he get a triumphant moment with maxxine? last time they pushed him, he didn't even get to cash in his mitb... - if gable wins, he is established as an upper card heel while his stooges get lost in the undercard. but I think the fans want to cheer gable because he has grown into a pretty good face over the last months. I don't see the end goal tbh

Nah, after the Shorty G thingy, the best thing is to be an Angle Tribute, not Rip-off, but tribute. Rip-Off would be making him bald and make comments about winning a match with a broken limb or som. If you inspire from the best, then what's to blame? It's a fine line they, and him, need to walk. The comparisons will never go away because they are similar in both resume and personality. Ric Flair was the fast livin trash talkin Nature Boy, just like Buddy Rogers was but in his own way. Not saying Gable is Flair's caliber, but that Chad can do his own version of what Angle was and make it his own. I agree Angle does not need to be a part of it. A player-coach thing with Sheldon could work though.
