They were getting a ride to the Hotel they were staying at by the female bartender who's Boss told her " I need u to brings these guys to their hotels please they are wasted " and they were literally the last people at the bar ( Michael's, X pac and Bulldog) So the bartender closed the bar and obliged to give them a ride. She had a 2 door pontiac which is small as hell ( which wad a popular car for girls at that time) and idk how they fit Bulldog and X pac in the back and Shawn being the " im the head honcho " wanted the front seat ( which turned out to be a big mistake ) when him and X Pac should of been in the back and Bulldog in the front I bet the story would of went alot different. The Marine guy had him and his 2 Marine buddies and their were waiting in the parking lot for Shawn and them to leave. They jus hung by and once they saw Shawn was going in the front seat the one guy ran over and pulled him out of the car while his buddies shut the door and held is closed so the the other 2 couldn't get out and the bartender who was driving had her doo r locked and wouldn't get out of the car right away leaving Shawn 1 on 1 ( and piss drunk) to get his ass whooped by that dude 😂 that story was told by X Pac who was there that night. The story I've heard is that it was three actual marines, but two of them were responsible for keeping Davey and 123 Kidd out of it, and the other (Douglas Griffith) was the one that pulled him out of the car and beat on him, And that Shawn Michaels, Davey Boy and Waltman were all drunk and high on soma's. I've also heard it was a dispute over Griffith's ex girlfriend, and that Davey Boy actually nearly had his eye gouged out in the melee. Where did you get the Police report? Was it in the 1995 Titan is sinking book? I know that book had an interview with Griffiths lawyer. I want to get it but I can't really justify getting it right now. Also I'm gonna flat out say this. If the story that I heard is close to what the police report said, then it doesn't really make Shawn Michaels look that bad. Sure it was one guy, but I think most people could kick the shit out of one guy who was high and drunk. I don't really think this was a fair fight. And I understand the response to this is going to be that it wouldn't have mattered either way, and that he lost other shoot fights, but I think it's kinda macho bullshit to make fun of him for this fight. Do it for other ones, not this one. Also the dudes alleged reasoning for doing this was an ex girlfriend. A women who I'm sure could have made her own decisions and probably wasn't fond of this guy being around her like that. The guys saw Shawn getting in her front seat & one of them pulled him out, & started beating him up, while the others blocked the door. X-Pac did a shoot about it, it's on YT. It was a one on one fight, & HBK got wrecked 🤣 Bret Hart also wrote about it in his book, & said when Davey finally got out through the girl's door, the guy's buddies jumped him. Vince basically used what happened to Davey, as Shawn's storyline, & just added a few extra guys to make it seem more exciting lmao.

X-Pac is even weaker than Shawn Michaels and no fighter. There are all kinds of stories about Davey either being trapped in the back seat or blocked in the car. All those stories are just nonsense to cover up that he was messed up that night. Griffith gave Shawn a beating. Shawn went down fast. And that was about it. All kinds of stories are told about what happened because the real story is so embarrasing to everyone involved and the wrestling business. Jim Ross knows the full truth, but he pretends not to know anything. It was the same with Bruce Pritchard.

It was a military dude being controlling over an ex gf of the military. His name was Douglas and he didn't like that Shawn was dancing with his ex girlfriend in which Douglas kept proclaiming that it was his girlfriend. They left and the dude followed. The only reason Shawn was beat up was that the guy Douglas slammed the car door on shawns head.
