@@roymunson1 I heard the same too. I know he once hit a guy in the face with a glass coke bottle when he was a teenager, and kicked somebody’s eye out in a fight. They were all ruthless guys. FBI said at the time that Mickey Featherstone was the most feared and dangerous white man in New York.

There is a great gangster movie 🎬 with Sean Penn ( plays cop) and Gary Oldman. Its inspired by the Westies . Let me tell ya, Gary Oldman killed it, one of the best gangster depictions , literally up there with Deniro and Pacino. Commisioner Gordon was straight buckwild

It makes me think back to the movie about the westies called state of grace with Sean Penn Gary old man and Ed Harris when the Irish was about to raid the restaurant they were meeting the Italians in the Irish mob leader Said if you don't see us after 2 hrs rush the restaurant and kill all the Italians inside but as they were rushing the restaurant the irish mob leader came out of the restaurant at the last minute which stopped the Irish mob from rushing the Italian restaurant and killing the Italians they were that close to killing the Italians on the spot they walked away with the Italians staring them down as they walked away

The westies an interesting story I read the book about them you see sometimes loyalty breeds betrayal Mickey Featherstone betrayed the westies because he was set up twice by Jimmy coonan and he lied to him several times about getting money and other things Mickey got tired of it who can blame him most anyone would have done the same thing he wasn't going to get set up and quietly do 25 years or more in prison he had a wife and a daughter to think about so he did what he had to do which was turn on Jimmy Coonan and the westies what gets me is Mickey Featherstone was the 2nd in command and he got set up and betrayed by his own leader Jimmy Coonan why did he do that to Mickey his 2nd in command his so called best friend you see despite what Jimmy Coonan did in the end he paid a big price for it you shouldn't mess with loyalty especially committed loyalty with someone like Mickey Featherstone that's really sad to me that he went through that with his own best friend
