Sammy needs to stay away from VH van halen with sammy hagar blows. Ugh.. DLR can pull it off. The band can totally jam still. Gonna be a great concert. It doesn't hurt that Kenny Wayne Sheppard is the "warm up" band. Now He is one of the best guitar masters on this planet. FoR sure.

The level of awesomeness here can't be clocked. You don't stop the show because the singer's bleeding...he gets taped up and you jam through the breakdown. And the VH train rolls on....

Actually that was pretty funny. Mr. Roth says "I cut my nose on the microphone, gimme a minute and we'll start over!" Ummm, Dave, the band's still playing. You're just a SINGER. Damn this is great for many reasons. Dave getting into an accident and being real about it, and then most importantly Eddie with an extended improvised solo. That is RARE. Everytime EVH plays "officially" it's always licks he wrote 30 years ago, so seeing hime improvise is reassuring that he can still REALLY play and not just redo old solos. For my money I'd love it if he played a different solo every night for every song!

Another overlooked Roth quality is he has what I'd say is a 'Soulful' voice. Maybe not 'live,' but recorded. Listen to him on 'Light in the sky.' Not 'up,' the song from VH2. He sounds very soulful. Despite how he sounds today with the mixed reviews, I still have tons of respect for him & what he brings to the table. They're my fave band, & he makes you cringe at times, but he is one of a kind. Thank you, DLR. You are incredibly special.

Davey r - My comment was directed at Joe Lowe, not you. In this sea of negativity, to find someone who felt passionate about the Van Halen of today. I took your comment as berating toward Joe Lowe and I wanted to try to keep him proud of his statement. If you were just trying to be funny, I am sorry. I was only trying to help to encourage Joe Lowe from getting discouraged.
@Aright2319 жыл бұрын
My original comment was funny because you know, WONEN have periods, not men, so I was saying that even though is male, he needs a period because his thoughts, which i support, came out in a flood without any punctuation, hence the precise word that also means. "A full stop in written language", or in other words, a period. This is a remarkable opportunity for a joke such as mine, and hence I shared it.

I wish today's bands took a lesson from Van Halen, like if your singer is out for the count for whatever reason, it doesn't matter how shit or how good the rest of the band is, give the audience something to react to instead of just being angry that one of your members is down. All things considered Van Halen are incredible to listen to and twice as good to watch and listen to. Today's bands more or less just go out on stage, stand there, play their bit, maybe have a bit of a chat, but that's about it.
