I think one of the fascinating things about watching you work is, not only are you a highly skilled and experienced craftsman, but you are an artist as well. So watching you work, how you approach a project or challenge within a project is interesting because often I would not have thought of that solution or not even have approached the situation that way. Additionally, you are resourceful acquiring vast resources and tools dwarfing many other craftsmen's collections. This includes so many different types of tools and skills. Not just woodworking nor metal working nor leather working, blacksmithing etc, etc. I really look forward to your videos especially considering I am nearly a neighbor lol. God bless you sir.

I love that this was an opportunity for you to revisit a previous project on which you learnt how you would do things differently and was able to implement those changes. So many projects are a one-off and you don't always get to put to use the things you learn from it. Great work as always Jimmy, it looks awesome and it sounds like Derek agrees

Jimmy Freakin' Diresta folks! Just Amazing. I'm going to give you the highest complement in my arsenal. Your skills match my grandfather's. He was 83 when he died in 1981 and locals still talk about him almost with awe. The saying was, "if you break something take it to Whit. If he can't fix it, he'll make you a new one"! Thank you for sharing your talent with us and making me think about my grandfather.

Jimmy, I am blown away by this one. Truly. For one thing I don’t think one single measuring device was used, which is so awesome. The fact that it is one solid log, that you cut it with handsaw, the blacksmithing, the carving, the bending. Damn, this one really impressed me, especially for a project that, on the surface, is really not my cup of tea. And, my god, you could have knocked Derek over with a feather when he first saw it. 🥹❤️
