I was pretty shocked when I saw Beethoven again, I had last seen it as a kid and had completely forgotten that the reason the bad guys want Beethoven is so they can test a new type of bullet on his skull and see how badly it will explode when shot at point-blank range... that's 90s family movies for you!

I was an extra in this movie! I'm one of the kids playin in the balls, behind him after he goes down the slide. It was filmed at the Mall of America. It was literally an all day shoot but it was super easy, barely an inconvenience! 😁

I’m surprised he didn’t bring up the moment that has confounded me my whole life; when Myron shoots his fist at Howard like a projectile. And it comes back and is just back to being his hand. Like it seems like it must be a fake hand on the suit, but it reattaches and he makes a mocking gesture with it like it didn’t just come all the way off.

I worked in a Walmart toy department when this movie was released. The irony is they shipped boxes of the toy from the movie, thinking it would be a hot seller due to the movie. Nope. No one wanted it, so there were so many left. Of course, they were placed on a heavy clearance markdown.

That's why in the second one the turtles barely use their weapons during the fight scenes. Also, parents complaining about how violent Temple of Doom and Gremlins were lead to the creation of the PG-13 rating in 1984.

One of the greatest Christmas stories in all history. My brother watched a 24 hour marathon of this movie and back when we had VCRs he recored parts of it all over. So some scenes were replayed and some went on into later scenes. Like Arnold punched a reindeer 6 times in a row... which meant my brother waited each movie till that scene and hit record. It was genius and my brother was high playing WoW. Great times... great times...

In Germany the movie is called versprochen ist versprochen "A Promise is a Promise" (meaning you have to Keep your promises... I don't know if that is an existing idiom in english speeking countries 😅) Makes a lot more sense as a title for this movie

What confuses me most about this movie is that all the events some how take place in one day. Like it dosent even get dark outside, and howard manages to go to a million stores, an underground santa operation, a radio station and a parade.
