For you guys and anyone else wondering, yes that was THE Jimmy Page. He did the score for Death Wish II as well. The Death Wish 3 soundtrack is basically a slightly modified version of the Death Wish II score. Michael Winner, the director of this and the first two Death Wish movies was Page's neighbor at the time and asked him to do it and with the recent breakup of Led Zeppelin (this would have been around '81-ish) agreed to do it.

The big gun he gets mail-ordered is a fairly rare Wildey Hunter, and it actually was the main actor's private property that he loaned to the production. Part of why they chose it is the odd half-rifle-half-pistol cartridge it uses, which is more "aggressive" than the caliber used by Dirty Harry, showing that they are "above" DH.
@baronobeefdipyes51812 жыл бұрын
FYI a company actually revived the Wildey a few years ago and supposedly is making them again; I have done business with before, but some people haven't heard from them in a while since covid. I own one of their newer guns that I inherited from my grandfather, the .475 Wildey one he owns is technically slightly more powerful than a .50 AE Dessert Deagle with a 350 grain projectile travelling at 1396 fps with 1514 ft. lbs. of energy while a 325 gr .50 AE is going 1446 fps but 1509 ft. lbs. of energy. Mine is in .45 Winchester magnum (I have a video posted of it destroying a watermelon on the 4th) and a 230gr projectile is on par with a 240gr 44 magnum round. The neat thing with this gun that sets it apart from a Dessert Eagle or an AMT Automag like Dirty Harry uses is that the gun is not as ammo sensitive due to having an adjustable gas system which you can see Bronson adjusting after he loads up his ammo, which was a key selling point for the Wildey because you can shoot anything from light gallery loads to "high power" hunting rounds as long as the chamber pressure doesn't exceed around 50,000 PSI. I have some rounds that I make for mine when I take it to public ranges or have new shooters along that make it as comfortable if not more then a standard .45 ACP out of a 1911 due in part to the guns weight so people can enjoy the hand cannon experience without having to deal with all the recoil.

Ah yes Chuck Norris with a mullet.
@Squiggly6672 жыл бұрын
Funny thing is the film is basically a Cannon Films version of Yojimbo starring Chuck Norris. The single mom and her son represent the innocent villagers while Chuck plays the gangsters against each other till the final act. Then Chuck does what Chuck always does in a Cannon Films production.

Another great episode. Laughed my ass off. So glad you guys finally got to see this, and weren't let down. Every time you watch one of these movies, imagine being your 8-10 year old selves. That was what it was like growing up in the 80s. We definitely watched a lot of shit we shouldn't have been watching.

DEATH WISH 3 is a MAGICAL film...the peak of independent cinema and a no holds barred window of true exploitation at its best. Next to INVASION USA and TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2 this is CANNON FILMS last opus.

in case no one has pointed it out yet, the gun the old man was using on the stairs (that was stolen) isn't the same gun he showed Bronson in his cabinet. That's why the other gun was still around for Bronson to take.

Between "But his mouth was open" and "Oh she's fine" I swear this is the most I've laughed in ages. You guys are fucking great! Also I noticed Ricco Ross was in this (thrown off the roof by Bronson) so he has the distinction of having been killed by a Xenomorph and a Bronson. Happy new year!

Thanks for covering this movie, death wish 3 is one of my guilty movie pleasures. The comically evil punks, the machine gun hidden in the old guy's home, and the teeth thing make this movie a Mini epic

When I was a kid, I remember watching this and thinking it was an old movie. I had no idea I was five when this came out. It looks like a 70s movie. I had watched all the Death Wishes because dad. Speaking of "dad", Charles Bronson always had such Angry Dad vibes to me.

You guys have my respect, a couple years back my friend asked Me to do something similar. We watched the room, the fanatic, Samurai cop and two Sharknado movies. By the end of it I had a headache so bad from how sh*t they were I thought I was having a god damn aneurysm.

The Fanatic would be great for this channel😆 Travolta thought he deserved an Oscar nomination for that and it's written and directed by the lead singer of Limp Bizkit.
@nignamedmutt72702 жыл бұрын
@@ThatsSiiiiick I mean, that's exactly why Sharknado and every other Syfy movie ISN'T "so bad it's good". It's not funny when you know the cast and crew are in on the joke and laughing their way through half assing it. The room is so funny because the director was genuine in his attempt, wasted so much money, and STILL managed to make such a disastrous flop. The secret ingredient to "so bad it's good" is SUFFERING, and GENUINE INTENT.
@patricksnavely58502 жыл бұрын
I'm glad I found this: for years I felt guilty about laughing my ass off during the movie. Then you nailed it, I didn't think Cannon films was the catalyst, but I started thinking, I do laugh a lot at Cannon films. Oh and BTW, yes THAT Jimmy Page did the soundtrack.
