I haven’t really thought about those fittings. I have seen people use them though.

Getting ready to head back to the states and do this, also meeting up with Don Manufactury just to bounce some ideas off him. Getting a checklist together...and I see you ended up using oriellys line because of how the ordered lines lack of cooperation. Is there any recommendation on lines or parts that need to be ordered ahead of time? Is there a kit you recommend or should I custom make the whole deal with my hopped up mustang?

I used the firewall piece, but found it better to make the rest.

Hey Jo, thanks for sharing! I wanted to see if you had ended up mounting the proportioning valve or is it just held in place by the lines?

I made a bracket to support it. I show it in another video.

Jo I just got a used front finder. for my Torino and they put filler over the molding holes and it has some rust in the lower finder where the inner braces and I've got to cut it out I've watched you replace rusty area but what's the best way to do this thanks

This brake system set up is killer. Great job. My issue with my 70 mach 1 is that the room under the reservoir is small. And a bracket with a proportioning valve will not fit. Funny everyone else appears to have placed their set up right there! Did you do any customizing to the bracket that you bolt the valve to? It appears more tucked back under verses sticking out in front like my valve bracket does. Just no room. Seems these cars would be identical in this area.

I have more videos on the install in this playlist. I think that will answer your questions better.

@@JoDaddysGarage Do you have any idea why they sell a proportioning valve for a disk to drum set up yet for my 70 mach 1 it needs some type of restriction module as well, that they don't make any more. So I guess I need an adjustable control to go in-line that I can turn up or down for back brakes so they dont' lock up?

I'm afraid I don't have a good answer for you. I haven't worked on the 70 model brakes. Usually a combination valve does it all.

Really nice work getting those brake lines plumbed.What did you use for a flaring tool on the brake lines? Isn't it the truth you always seem to have to make an adapter somewhere and then the flex lines going to each of the wheels. Sounds like a good plan for the engine and tranny love to see it. Nice work and great video.

I actually used a cheap double flare tool from Harbor Freight. It did what I needed.

Did you put anything on top of the epoxy inside the engine bay?
@JoDaddysGarage8 жыл бұрын
I did. I think i show it in a previous video. It was Krylon spray paint, and it turned out nice.

Are you not putting power steering in ? It's going to drive like a tank if not

In this video, the power steering box is installed. Check out the other videos in the playlist.

@@JoDaddysGarage Doing similar setup. Opting for manual steering. Never like ford PS, and figure i'll turn the wheel when rolling. Super comp headers get in the way of the Power Cylinder.
