In The Equalizer movie, Denzel said "Sometimes you can take a wrong turn trying to get to the right place." I think that's what happened with BMarshall. He thought what he wanted was the "right place". It was the right place for him but no one else. Hopefully everyone involved reaches peace and closure one day

He wanted them to share the vision and passion and not just the success, but wanted them to be all successful. Sometimes people are afraid to be great until shown the way.

I Am Athlete exist today because of the original cast. Not to take away from Marshall’s vision and drive. There were issues in the beginning with Marshall and the other host feeling silenced by Marshall and his seemingly need to control. These things happen often and sadly this one is happening publicly. I hope they all find peace and forgiveness with much success whether separate or apart.

What r u talking about? Those are your feelings. He just told us the issues bro! IAA exist today because of B's vision, period. The original cast left because once they saw the potential money involved and wanted to change the contracts because of buyer's remorse. None of that is B's fault and none of that has anything to do with B shutting them out. He had a right to "control" because he was the majority owner. Business is business at the end of the day. If you chose an employee tract over a partnership tract that's your problem

@@tiffanibanks7218 he had the vision … they didn’t believe in it , he gave them a chance to put the money up & become real partners , they didn’t believe so they didn’t put up money , leaving him to put all the money up & take all the risks … then once they saw how much his vision was coming to life they THEN wanted to have ownership and that’s not fair to Brandon 🤦🏽‍♂️ that being said … I wish Brandon could’ve just gave them a price … like “I spent X amount total … y’all need to pay me this much to make things even & THEN let’s bust the contract down split even from that point” still not fair to Brandon but at the same time giving them the respect to say my money is what built this … but also you guys talents …

Doesn't seem like Brandon fully communicated his dream to everyone. Percentages change but the work and effort didn't change? Does not add up. Podcasts blew up in COVID and no one knew how to manage them as a business. Everyone needs to admit their faults and move on.

I think Brandon OVERcommunicated. In business, you can lose people when you talk too much about your vision. I get the sense that’s part of what happened. Brandon is an emotional dude who wants everyone to win and be successful. Some view that as a weakness or weak-mindedness.

This is sad. Joe and Brandon are two different cases. Joe is mature and experienced to know why his situation fell apart. The chemistry wasn’t there for a long time. You can almost say, they fell outta love. In Brandon’s situation, he was the toxic spouse. And as a result he watched his family get torn apart, and his ex is happy and doing better without him, than he even is doing. I love B Marshall. That’s why I said this is sad for all of us. He’s hurting because he knows there were things he could’ve done differently. Joe is not stressing because they just fell out of love, nothing you can do about that. It is what it is. It’s the ones that you can prevent, them the ones that hurt yknow

I supremely dislike the way "we", just really getting into big business, implement these shark tactics against each other and mask it as "just business" because that is the way we have been conditioned to behave. The fact is we don't have the network the people we "learn" from have and need to do right and build with each other. Also, the people we are looking to supposedly emulate don't mess in their own network the same way they may do business with you. There is a lot of growing to be done.

I see a problem. When you sit down at the inception of a business, and those people invest, they are the set shareholders. The owners. For Brandon Marshall to say once the podcast grew, and the percentages changed, that was his lacking business acumen speaking. The percentages of ownership do not change, unless each of the investors sell some of their shares. If Brandon Marshall included his wife and friends that comes out of his percentage, not Fred's. That's bad business; Toxic ideology. It feels like Brandon just tried to take over and do what he wanted within vision, regardless of what the other guys wanted. I don't know the full story, I'm just going off of what bmarsh said here.

These discussions need to be had more often, early because when it comes to business we all fall into specific quadrants whether its Employee, Self employed, Business, or Investor and each think and are wired differently regardless of whats on the table. Most friends cant separate the friendship and stick strictly with the business, and additionally most people dont make good business decisions due to the fact they have never started one themselves or been apart of one. I usually never comment but this was a hot mess. If Brandon really wanted to address the topic it should've been done in a different setting. One on one with Omar maybe...but not with people who were not involved. They overtalked each other jumping from point to point and the audience got absolute nothing out of it. A clickbait for sure. I've supported IAA since its inception, but this was it for me ✌🏽

Also… As a 4th generation entrepreneur, I felt what Brandon and Joe were saying… it was spot on. But the reason neither Brandon or Joe talked about their break up situations previously, is because no matter how much they addresses the issue, it’s not going to make sense to everyone. We (the audience) are being let in on what should be a private conversation or “locker room talk” like they used to talk about. Business is messssssssy. It’s messy because you’re creating something out of nothing and hoping and praying and working hard so that it’s successful. You have people (staff) leaning on you and depending on you to be successful. You have an audience and fans, etc. It’s hella pressure. If you’ve never been in the situation, you won’t understand. You just can’t understand because building a company is not just about logic and following a plan. It does require emotion and an understanding of your “why” which is what you must always come back to.

I think everybody wanted a piece of the pie and to get what they put in....but with that comes patience and trust which started to disappear with the original cast of IAA....i remember when Marsh went to NASCAR for a min...some of us as fans had an issue with it but he was trying to expand the brand and not stay on dimensional.....like Marsh said I think there was to much communication at times....and not enough other times. Plus if everyone invested equal amounts to get the ball rolling...then they also feel they should have equal say so and input which can be very difficult at times.....hated to see this break up man but I wish them all the best

The guys here talking about "they should be grateful" and "you won't talk to them cus I won't let you.." are just happy to be brought on to something that is already successful. But they know damn well they would feel a level of disrespect if someone who had a vision, brought them on, their presence is felt, they are now a vital part of the program, and then are told in so many words, "although we all put in the same amount, this is business, percentages change. All these other people also have to get paid" they (the new guys) would feel a way also. There was too much too fast, he was excited and wanted to do a lot, but these are grown men who invested their money into your vision, and it became something because of their personalities too, you don't switch up on ppl and then hide your hands when they question you.

Maybe the realest comment on here? Men are made to be logical. So drop the emotion and brother up as the OP stated! Don't let money come in between friendships. Especially when all of y'all had financial security BEFORE the show ever started! Show the world what true brotherhood looks like!

Brandon said the percentages changed once the show blew up & you think that’s okay even tho everyone from what you said put up the same amount? If you reverse roles would you be okay with taking less % I doubt it also peep when joe said something about the original agreement you said nothing smh lol

It was just something to do during the pandemic. They didn't discuss what would happen if it blew up or how much was put in. They didn't even get the option to put their own money in

it’s not emotion, it’s ego. and business shouldn’t get in the way of that either.

The ego mixed with male testosterone can have you soaring to top but it can also send you plummeting down to a lonely deep sorrow. I pray both sides will eventually make amends. Life is short
