Joe Walsh is the quintessential example that you don’t have to sing like Robert Plant, shred like Hendrix, or be perfectly stylized like Axel Rose. Just play from the heart, sing with attitude and be real- being a Rock n’ Roll beast is only a state of mind. This guy is the blueprint!

Anyone who can play this good and sound great while being stoned out of their mind has to be an extremely talented performer. The Professor Walsh is definitely one talented performer. If you look into his eyes on a couple of those close ups you can tell he is jacked up pretty good! I watched an interview where he talked about the time he eventually got sober. He said he just got to the point where he couldnt do it anymore, he was basically wore out. So he decided it was time to clean his act up. He definitely did a great job getting sober and still keeping his sense of humor. You gotta love his sense of humor. There aren't many like him and that's ok! Joe is unique and I think we would all agree we like him the way he is. Someone else acting like Joe just wouldn't seem right. Rock on Joe!!!

@@whocares3591 Oh yeah, your right!! That's totally true! Dr Hook always seemed totally stoned. I was watching a video where they all had that same look like Joe. Plus the extreme amount of sweating. Sure one could argue it's due to the lighting, and playing, but I suspect the added fact of being stoned helped it along a bit. Plus their song "Cover of the Rolling Stone", they pretty much admitted to "taking all kinds of pills, that give us all kind of thrills". They were able to get clean as well, and live to be quite old. Some of them are still alive. I think Ray Sawyer died at 81.

I remember my sister telling me Joe had joined the Eagles right before the Eagles came to my city for the Hotel California tour, I was 12, but I remember it so well. She took me to see the Eagles with Joe and it is one of the greatest times of my life. Thank you Joe and Donna!

After decades of thinking this guy was the master of rock and roll and helped other rock and rollers get recognized.. I was right. Thanks Joe from the thousands of other bands that you helped rereconized.

He is a guitar legend but he has such a distinctive voice. Seeing him was on my bucket list and I got to.

I liked this the first time I heard it. In deference to our joint ages, I'll not state when that was. You rock!
