Dude! It’s so heart warming to see you spending some really quality time with your dad! Cherish every minute with him! My dad just had his 95th birthday and his vision is almost nonexistent. I wish I could bring him to our cabin in Maine and hunt with him but unfortunately he is too old. I really hope and wish the best for you and your family! God Bless you and yours🙏

Yes spend all the time you can with your parents. One day you won't have them. It's the worst 2 days of my life. When my parent left my life. So talk and enjoy them all you can. You ll never regret it. Parents are the best people in your life. Ever. So enjoy them.

Great video Joe! I can feel some of your other commenters when they talk about the time spent with there dads. Mine is in a memory care unit and at the age of 87 he only remembers a little bit of our special time together. He started me out in the woods at an early age . Deer hunting in Wisconsin was a very special time for us. Making deer blinds, setting up for the hunt and finally the memories we created each year. Thanks for sharing

Good to see you and Zach getting the time to spend with your dad and able to cherish the memories. I wish I could get to do that with my dad as he passed away 4 years ago. Had many plans to go fishing with him in the up coming years to go to Lake Michigan and go out in his boat on Lake Erie 50 yards from his house and he has a 2 acre pond off his patio for fishing when Erie was to rough, anything over 5 ft was his rule.

I thought I heard the birds say "Welcome back" hehe Do you like squirrel & dumplings? Uncle Ray sure did. Hopefully you caught the intruder. I enjoyed the weekend at the tent. Loved going out on the lake, seeing your Dad, visiting his beautiful peaceful cabin, seeing Zachary catch a fish. Loved the sunset, the silhouette look of evening is so neat. Zachary, I love how you made that door. The whole hunting stand was Awesome! I was excited to see the moose. All kind of wildlife near. When Zach saw a red squirrel, 1st thing came to mind was my Father at war with a feisty red squirrel for several years. He swore it was out to get him. He was working under the car with the hood up below the walnut tree. Something hit his head, & when he looked up through the car there sat that red squirrel looking down at him. He had a mark on his forehead from where it dropped it's walnut. I miss my Father. I love mornings on the lake seeing the mist on the lake. Loved the ending on the video looking at the warm stove. Love your cozy tent. Looking forward to deer hunting. Muzzleloader started here in Grayson County, Virginia.

We have a hell of a time with squirrels in NC. I managed to trap one in a room in my old house. Fortunately I got it to fly out of that room. They can be very destructive. Wiring, insulation you name it. You know first hand. My granddad Russel was a small game hunter. I can remember a couple of times when my grandmother was skinning small game in the kitchen. It never interested me much. Now I wish I had paid more attention to that. I see with the pandemic how resourceful people can be as long as they have the skills to hunt and to fish. They will not be dependent on outside sources for meat. Something I sorely lack.

When I was a kid, my parents had a cabin on a lake. We would go about every other month. Once a squirrel got in and chewed up nearly everything including furniture. It did a lot of damage. We found the squirrel dead. I guess he couldn't find his way back out. Considering the damage he did, he must have been in there a long time.
