The day Joey passes is a day that many will feel heartache. But thank God we will always have his podcasts and specials, so he will never be forgotten. But he'll probably tell us, "What the fuck are you all crying over me for? I appreciate the sentiment, but grab your balls and go through life like a fucking champ! You hear me!" "Heroes get remembered, but legends never die." -The Sandlot

If you think you're failing takes a different prescription than if someone else says your failing. I work in human services started at 14 an hour. Couldn't pay my bills on that but felt it was worthwhile to help people. I was also with a lady who was a verbally abusive alcoholic often. Fast forward nearly a decade. Now I am married to a wonderful lady and own my own business doing the same thing I was doing for $14 an hour but now it's $70 an hour doing it for yourself. 1 person army. Throughout the course of my life I've seen a lot of not so good things as we all have but just never give up on yourself. IDC if you are getting in your own way half the time or someone else trying to hold you down don't think about all the work left to do. 1 day at a time. I wake up and I shake and bake baby. When that hourglass runs out for the day and there's still 20 things to do but I've already been at it 10 or 12 hours a day 5/ days a week on end I still know myself and know better to cut it off for the day. Take care of yourself and you'll be able to do well for others. It's hard to do all at once but just wake up and give it hell. If it doesn't work oh well you still got you to try again doin something tomorrow. As long as you leave it out there every day you can the world will take care of you but no excuses. 😊 take care brother

My point is don't beat yourself up. Just trust yourself and go. And then stop when you need to for a break because soon as you stop moving that's when it's bad news. Stop take a break idc if it's a 3 month mental break. Give yourself a break then rehabilitate and back to war you go.

Uncle Joey, I needed you today, my boss has me doing the work of 4 people, she's constantly berating me, she's probably going to fire me before Xmas because she hates productive Catholic people, but Joey I always feel on an even keel after listening to one of your solo podcasts. They root me back from where I'm from, that rough and tough and tough place I came from, the place that made me what I am, a hard working man, that can take anyone's shit and still go home happy, God bless you Joey, and happy Thanksgiving to you your beautiful family, and last but not least the Christ killing jew Lee Syatt that I love just as much as you !!

Welfare family is easy; try being lower middle class. Your fridge is empty and you have to choose between paying the electric bill or buying food. You don’t have a car payment but your car is a piece of shit and the reverse sometimes doesn’t work. Your barely breaking even every month and since your actually working you don’t qualify for anything because you *make too much*

Joey is the dad/uncle/grandpa none of us had. Im a singer-songwriter and the struggle is where it all happens. Its where you get your material from and its where you cut your teeth. Also gut feeling goes A LONG WAY in show biz. If you feel like you should switch up your style or your gig, do it. It'll pay off in the end. I was originally a drummer getting gigs in LA and on the road. After a few years of that, I realized that I was better suited to produce and write my own music. I wanted a position in the music industry where I didnt have to rely on my bands to get me fed. My drive to work shows, write, record, and release music is way higher than the bands I was getting paid to play with. So it only made sense to switch it up. Now Im getting paid gigs locally to where I currently live, opening for other groups, and Im a 2 time Grammy Award considered songwriter, but soon to be a winner =)

Every time Joey has these episodes with no guests, he always speaks an experience I can relate to. The part about needing the job, it’s all you have going for you, going to interviews as Lee talked about, I remember early 2018 just dying to get an interview and how much debt I was in and the lawsuit I was facing for not paying my loan. Worst time of my life so far. There will probably be more but by far, the hardest time of my life. Relationship break-up depression couldn’t even match the feeling I had. Thank you Uncle Joey. Grateful for you and Lee and this podcast!

Truly grateful for having an Inspiration like you Uncle Joey. I was heading down a evil path truly. De Le Ghetto. (if you truly grew in the hood, you have a understanding) but when I came across you and fucking paid attention. It was like putting everything in full perspective and I truly knew I gotta make a Big Change if I want to see something truly greater in this life. I'm only 22, and I wasn't even expecting too see 16. I've died twice before 15. I just want to say, I thank you for inspiring me to make a change. I now do something with entertainment, weither it be making music, uploading VideoGames, or Doing something with Marijuana for the World to see when I upload. I Thank you, Joey. I'd Love To Roll You & Lee Perfect Blunts to enjoy. 100% Medical Grade. but ayy for any reason someone out there is reading this, and feel like they're in a hole. Remember it's you in your shoes, YOU gotta make things happen for the better.
