An apartment and a mansion both hold the same sense of loneliness
@Rawsilver5 жыл бұрын
Yeah but they could keep jacking up the rent on an apartment. I could sell the mansion, buy in a cheaper area, and live off the money from the sale for a while. I think i'd rather have piece of mind of the mansion. Than be stuck with an apartment, with shitty neighbors being loud at weird hours of the night, and kids running around the halls. Or have to go down to the laundry room with people i have no interest in knowing. Fuck that, give me the mansion. If I'm going to be lonely, better it be in luxury.

What people really want is freedom. The freedom to do what they want when they want how they want. Money is merely a means to an end, it’s not the ultimate goal in and of itself whether we realize it or not. Unfortunately, to live without limitations in complete independence often requires that you have money. Money opens doors because everything in human society has a monetary value attached to it.

If the world went back to bartering because of the value of the dollar completely going into the shitter, that green piece of paper wouldn't mean anything anymore. If you don't wanna slave, you either have to do the work, or have some special kind of blessing that catapults you out of that slavery. You have to have a dream, and want better for yourself.
