The sprung washer is the wrong number, it's R38219

The spring washer is the same as the thrust washer on the face of the 540 gear.

I see that you were using the vintage 1971. 1/2" Craftsman ratchet. That is when Sears sold a quality ratchet.

Thanks for the video. I followed it and repaired my 4440. Only trick was getting the snap ring off the quil to get the bearing out. And yes, it was about 10 gallons of oil that came out. Leak free now.

would a 4450 John Deere with power shift have these same parts as you have in the pto?

Heads up for anyone using this video. Please get the Deere seal or equivalent. It is a double lip seal. The single lip seal do not last. It it shows the option for either one, get the better seal. I don't know how many I have changed because of this.

Yep. The one i took out was double sided. The one i put in is single sided and leaks non stop. 4th time in there😢. Get CR 543845 SEAL.

the speedi sleeve number given here was no good. SKF 99287 was what worked for me this was availble thru napa.

There's 300 different speedy sleeves. Get a double sided seal. CR543845.
