It isn’t about going unto all the world and preach the gospel anymore. It’s about go out unto all of the world and make them just like us!! They literally have a fake it til you make mentality regarding coming to Christ. Why wouldn’t they want minorities, including myself, to act and think and to be JUST LIKE THEM, because people who act and think and ARE JUST LIKE THEM have it all figured out, so let’s turn it into law. I’ve been digging into this crap almost full time for a year now and it never ends, it just gets more and more dark. Look up Project 2025. Trump cannot be elected.

Reformed men that I’ve spoken to aren’t fans of trump. Also it’s all about preaching the good news. What is the point that you are trying to make because reformed leaning disciples from what I see are the bereans and the Pauline disciples who put their faith to work . Also I’m Latino, why bring it up. Who actually cares at all? Stop identifying with the lowest part of your earthly self it genuinely irks me when people in general do this as well. I’m sorry to say but you sound very emotional in your perspective. Read more and study .

Anyone who calls himself a "Chestertonian Calvinist" is one of a kind, and therefore invaluable.

Agreed! However when that same Chestertonian Calvinist has not the backbone and humility to expose and deal biblically with the horrible sins against the innocent that are carried out by members of his church, in his church, one would assume he does not deserve the spotlight and admiration he is in.

When Doug Wilson is preaching to a congregation or when he is debating Christopher Hitchens, he speaks soundly. When he does his staring into the camera in the studio diatribes, letting us all know he's adept at figures of speech, his personal politics take front-and-center. Frankly, I think he misses the mark on his political views, which is fine, of course. Christians can disagree about politics. I'm not so sure, however, if pastors should be so political. His calling and confirmation should be used for higher things.

Sadly, Piper is wrong with his 2-part justification (or final justification), at least according to the Westminster Confession: Q. 70. What is justification? A. Justification is an act of God’s free grace unto sinners, in which he pardoneth all their sins, accepteth and accounteth their persons righteous in his sight; not for any thing wrought in them, or done by them, but only for the perfect obedience and full satisfaction of Christ, by God imputed to them, and received by faith alone. We are not saved by our good works; we are saved by grace alone (Ephesians 2:8)

"We are not saved by our good works; we are saved by grace alone (Ephesians 2:8)" You're 100% right but if you see what this video says it's exactly what Jesus and Paul said/did trough their preaching of the gospel! That we are saved by grace, but that not the point Piper is making here, i'll let you see it for yourself, its awesome! (eng not my language)

I’ve been looking into Doug Wilson and he seems to be a Dominionist, one who believes that Christianity, through Christians on earth, will overcome all sin and wickedness in society to ultimately herald in the Millennial Kingdom of Jesus. That his highly unbiblical.
@andriesquinton6954 жыл бұрын
I would say that that is inaccurate. Not all sin, although he does believe that Christ's kingdom will continue to grow before the second coming.
@keithwilson60604 жыл бұрын
Andries Quinton A kingdom continuing to grow doesn’t imply that it will overtake society.
@andriesquinton6954 жыл бұрын
@@keithwilson6060 I just pointed out what you said about "all sin being removed," and I don't think he believes that since believers will still have sin but you could very well be right about taking over society, Christians taking over society and more and more people becoming Christians.

Andries Quinton Jesus said that “few there are who find” the path to salvation. How does that square with Pastor Wilson’s assertion that society in general will be converted?
@andriesquinton6954 жыл бұрын
@@keithwilson6060 Well I don't know about Doug Wilson since I cannot accurately portray his position to you. Personally though, I believe more people will be in Hell than in heaven precisely because of that verse and yet, I would maintain that if you look at the Bible from Genesis to Revelation God has a plan which becomes evermore encompassing. In the Old Testament Israel is primarily the object of God's love and blessing and then later God includes the gentiles also in his plan of salvation who were also His chosen ones from all eternity past and therefore it becomes more extensive in time. The Bible speaks about all the nations of the earth being blessed. As History gets to its climax with the death of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the gospel goes out to the nations because Christ is the Saviour of the world and there must be individuals saved from every tribe tongue and nation and since all was lost in Adam, Christ is coming to restore what Adam lost. This is the trend throughout the Bible. From the very beginning, after Adam fell and all was lost the promise of the Seed that would crush Satan's head was the start of God's restoration which continues, redemption does not finish at the cross but the entirity of creation is and must be redeemed. Having said all that I obviously don't know what a general conversion of society looks like,I don't know how many people qualifies as general and so these sort of things must also be taken into consideration.

How can anyone with these bizarre views preach goodnews to people if he really doesn't believe they can respond? Sooo crazy....yikes....maybe Piper and Wilson say this might be goodnews, but probably not, either way there is nothing you can do so it's makes no actual difference what I say, how you respond, and how you live.....it's all pre-determined.....wow

They will respond in obedience to Gods laws and commandments ... including Jesus’ command to preach and teach the Gospel to all the tribes and nations, and to make disciples (not to make converts ,that’s Gods job ) , but to make disciples. They will respond in submission to Gods Sovereign will in ALL things ... for He is working ALL things according to His purpose .

When I choose a book to read, I grab it with my hand. When God chooses a soul to save, He grabs it with the Gospel. Preaching the good news and God choosing are not in contradiction with each other. We are commanded to preach, not save. We preach, God saves.

Bingo... GOOD NEWS. That’s what the Gospel is. It’s GOOD NEWS. The GOOD NEWS of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). The GOOD NEWS that God sent His Son to provide a way back into fellowship with Him. Jesus is the WAY, the Truth and the Life. ... Reformed theology on the other hand is NOT the Gospel because it’s NOT good news. In fact it’s terrible news for those who are supposedly predestined to hell before the foundation of the world with zero hope of salvation. That is NOT the gospel.
@stephengilstad4 жыл бұрын
Could you accurately show a teaching of Reformed theology that is "NOT the gospel?" I want to emphasize "accurately" because your statement on God predestining people to hell is not an accurate representation of Reformed theology. Reformed theology has always consistently differentiated between how God determines his elect and those non-elect. It might be worth your time checking it out. God bless.
@apilkey4 жыл бұрын
Stephen Gilstad God predestining people to hell is an accurate representation of reformed theology if you’re willing to honestly take what you believe to it’s logical conclusion. If you’re not willing to be honest with your belief system, and instead refuse to acknowledge it’s logical out workings then you will see it as inaccurate. The fact that you “say” it’s inaccurate doesn’t mean it’s inaccurate. Reformers will resort to philosophy in an effort to dance around and cover up what the logical conclusions are of their system so that they can then claim “oh that’s not what we believe.” Whether you believe it or not does not change the fact that it’s true. You’re just not willing to be honest with yourself and admit it.
