@@zuiio483 high grades are always bad, high points/stars are always good. Grades usually go to 5 or 6, however 5&6 both mean that the person has failed. The is usually used to mark absence/a blank paper. So if you say grade x, than everybody understands you. While with points/stars it's usually required to also give the max value (like 3/5), for others to understand you.

If these people are good at cooking, which is what they're paid to be doing before they get on the show, then every entry should be getting at the least a 3/5, with only highly competitive dishes making the differences. If dishes were getting 1s and 2s, then I'd question how that is possible from professional cooks.

When a souffle tastes powdery it's usually because of the bottom layer and the outer layers being dry; cooked too fast to form a dry outside; think of it as a frozen steak that was seared quickly, it can be burnt on the outside but perfectly rare/medium on the inside.

I've noticed all these challenges always end in a tie. It's never like a 2 point lead or a 3 point lead, its always a near-tie. Like they get the judges to make sure the score is even so there's a dramatic reveal at the end.
