I was a chef for many years. Worked my way up to head chef. Went to a Michelin star restaurant. Realised I'd just been a good cook all that time and couldn'treally give myself the title "chef". Nothing wrong with that. I once worked a shift on my own and did 6 different starters, mains and deserts for a table of 6. Got told they'd been to restaurants all over the world and never had every dish be perfect. But I still think a chef is someone that spends many, many years under a true pro. I was self taught. Just a million miles away. A true chef creates magic.
