The NBA probably won't find anyone close to MJ. The way MJ did it was thru determination and perseverance. The Bad Boys played a physical style that no other team has had since and they were a great team. The NBA's answer to the "next MJ" is always to make it easier for "their hope/hype". Michael Jordan earned his goat status.

DaRebel Knicks had it. They just weren’t as great offensively or as smart as pistons. Bulls had it too but not with physical fouls just physical defense. So when you’re talking slick like MJ, his sidekick Robin, and the rest of the Bulls backup singers... and it’s in an intense competitive rivalry like we and the folks West across the Lake have... These things happen. Shrugs It’s not just basketball. It’s a rivalry on everything. Again it’s a mindset. Like Jalen said.... there were not that many Jordan fans from where I’m from. John Salley was one of the few Pistons that stayed and congratulated the in Bulls 1991. The only reason the Celtics left the court early 1988 was because they couldn't control the crowd at the Silverdome and the Celtics were told to leave so nothing would pop off with the Roddy heathen Piston fans.

The diff between the Celtics walking off and the Pistons is that Boston disliked the style of play of Detroit. Despite words to the contrary, Detroit didn't just hard-foul ppl, they tried to take your head off or undercut your legs. watch the tapes! Also, what happened between the Celtics and the Pistons is different that the Bulls-Pistons. EVERY TIME that the Bulls lost to Detroit in the post season, the Bulls ALL waited and shook hands with the Pistons, despite all the hard-fouling! Detroit should have given the Bulls the same courtesy that Chicago gave Detroit, If Detroit had beaten Boston, then I could understand and support Detroit for similar treatment to Boston that Boston gave Detroit!

🤔 there are times that Isiah has me scratching my head. You know what I dislike about him? How he talks out of both sides of his face. I lost respect for him when he went on those interviews and openly threw his own teammates under the bus by him claiming, "It wasn't me. I didn't do nothing to MJ. It was Bill Lambier and Rick Mahorne that would hit MJ. I'm innocent." I'm like 🤔😳 for real? You are naming names? You are excluded but you calling out Bill and Rick?

They walked off for several different reasons, the biggest reasons was because the NBA Commissioner favored Michael Jordan & made sure he won by changing the rules & having the refs favoring him. Isaiah Thomas mentioned the rules changed for Jordan.

There are something missing: you know why the Celtics walked off? It’s because of the extra things that happened outside of the court. Rodman said that if Bird was black he’d be a regular player and Thomas co-signed it. At that time, Bird was the best player in the league. So saying that about him wasn’t something that bird or the other Celtics liked. Or the fouls that Laimbeer would commit on Bird. This dude literally jumped on Bird and could have broke his neck. So the Celtics walked off not because it was good natured but because they didn’t respect the Pistons because of the extra shit they did on and off the court. I’m saying overall as a team.

Rod Thorn, National Basketball Association vice president of operations, also announced Monday that Bird was fined $2,000 for fighting and Bill Walton $500 for leaving the bench after Laimbeer slammed Bird to the court in Game 3 at the Pontiac (Mich.) Silverdome. NBA Commissioner David Stern attended Sunday`s game at the Silverdome, where the only action came from Celtic forward Darren Daye shoving Piston forward Rick Mahorn. ''The level of physical play seems to be stepping up this year,'' Stern said. ''It is not acceptable at all. The whole situation of physical force on fouls will be dealt with by the league this summer.'' The Pistons have lost 16 straight at Boston Garden with their last victory here coming on Dec. 19, 1982.
