Me and my 2 older brothers idolised Van Damme when we were kids. Reenacting and quoting every film. Tragically, we lost our eldest brother to a long battle with illness last December. We played the Lionheart/AWOL theme at his funeral as we carried his coffin. It stirs the soul.

I always like this score back when i first watched the film in the 90s when we had all the best action film stars and still going strong in films today. Was so amazed to see Van damm in the expendables 2 and i had no idea he was in it until i started watching the film was one of the biggest shock i had in a film my eyes and face lite up like a Christmas tree with all my fav actors in the film was just icing on the cake.

my favorite jcvd movie. i can picture the scenes from each song. i got paul Hertzog's score for kickboxer on Amazon prime music but i couldn't find this. THANK YOU FOR posting it ♥ i really was hoping to find the song from his very first fight. the street find where he meets Joshua. it has a funky slap bass line in it and i can't quite remember the song.

I think it's unfortunate that many of the soundtrack albums in general have tracklists that don't follow the same order as the music in the movie itself. This soundtrack is one of them. I always like to play the moments from a movie when I'm playing a soundtrack album. But the experience is much different from what I hoped for. The second half of the first track (2:36), for example, is the background music for the 'payback' part of the final fight. The score for the first part of the same final fight is the track at 25:41. A finale broken into two parts, which are spread out to opposite ends of the album, not to mention in reversed order does harm to the experience, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong; the music itself is excellent. But I would have liked to hear it as a whole instead. I particularly like the dramatic tone in the latter of the two. A finale can't be good without the 'oh crap, he's getting in big trouble now' sound prior to the 'payback time' section.

Just Watched this old-school - kick-and-run movie. Jean Claude is way underestimated as actor and fighter... This movie had it all, and it wasnt campy as i expected... It was way better than most B.S hollywood produce today. And most ironic, this is everything that the SJW-Gender-actitivsts and feminist hate about toxic masculinity, Showing feelings, heart and bonding. About this music score. They understood how to use music back in the days, using a thema throughout the score... Unlike Hollywood today.
