Most of the posts here are about how good Johnny is and deservedly so, but Luca is a fantastic player in his own right. He is certainly no slouch and holds his own jamming with Hiland. I would imagine his show would be very,very good to see. Luca has the chops to play with the likes of Vince Gill and Keith Urban and Brad Paisley easily.

Two great players. and Luca is a superb player also a gentleman to boot just met him the other day in a guitar shop, he more than holds his own with Johnny here, you should check out Luca's Best Of CD. Remember as far as the location home of country music, Nashville is concerned, Luca is from another planet distance and culture wise. I doubt most people in Nashville even know where Italy is, never mind the fact "Congress", "Senator" and "The Capitol" building get their names from Italy

Thing is, they are both great guitarists and from the look on their faces, having a total blast jamming together. You can tell they respect each others abilities and it's not a competition between them there, just fun. I think if it came down to a competition, Johnny is more versatile overall, but I haven't heard Luca play true rock or blues yet either. Johnny can play the fire out of both styles.

I went to GRUHN'S in Nashville and unlike Guitar Center, everyone who touched a guitar in that place was an AMAZING player. This is the kind of playing you can hear all day long at that place

I thought the same thing, however, for some reason, country is always fun, it's never discouraging like some other stlyes of guitar oriented music. It isn't like metal where guitarists are always competing to play the fastest.

Great playing. Check out Scotty Anderson and watch his Sweet Georgia Brown with Bob Saxton. Scott and Johnny are extremely nice and down-to-earth considering their level!

Johnny may not be THE best guitar player in the world, but he's on the Christmas card list of the best! Rolling Stone magazine doesn't have the balls to include him in their top 100 greatest guitar players yet they include Willie Nelson and John Lennon and Joan Baez? Willie IS pretty good, but even he'll admit, not in the class of Johnny. I believe Hiland can play circles around at least 80 of the top 100 they have listed. The other 20 are good enough to be there.

It just shows you don't need to have a good guitar "set up" professionally before you can play it. These guys just take them down off the rack, tune them and then "this" comes out. Amazing! Funny thing, my guitar doesn't sound like this!
