When I was a young and broke, now I'm just old and broke, I picked up a large piece of 1/4 steel plate from the scrap yard and place it over the campfire ring.. After burning it in I would place the meat on the high side and let the grease drip down to the rest of the meal. After it would cool down I'd clean and oil it and wrap it in a piece of canvas for storage. It is indestructible.

One of the best tips I learned and I don't remember where, was to put you bacon on a cold griddle. It takes longer but you won't need a bacon press and it cooks very evenly. I start the bacon and then start the hashbrowns as soon as the temp is 375 on the other side. They are both done about the same time and the eggs are ready to a couple minutes later.

I use the warming rack for anything that is cooking faster than the rest of the meal. So if you're doing bacon and a few of them are done but the rest aren't, put those finished ones on the rack. I also put my coffee up there from time to time. I'll use the small rack with a dome over it to create an oven and do biscuits. So basically anything you want off the direct heat. Like the top rack of a regular grill. And ya just use a level, it's not the end of the world if yours is t perfectly level but if it warps definitely contact the manufacturer immediately. Thanks so much for watching.

My grandma used to make grilled cheese using mayo as a kid so it was normal for me and i think tastes better. Some people ive told think it sounds gross but considering mayo is mostly oil it makes sense.

Hey buddy thanks. I'm so glad you like the videos and I appreciate you watching. Also nothing wrong with bitti the tequila during a BBQ. That's probably my favorite liquor. I like tequila and grapefruit and I like margaritas with just lime and orange juice. None of that premade sour mix just tequila, cointreau, simple syrup, fresh lime and orange juice. Thanks for watching buddy.

🍻 Better than a squirt of water is an ice cube from your cooler of beer. So we are clear, if you are making eggs on a griddle and don't have a cooler full of ice and beer, you have already failed. Just go back to bed. 👍🏻

Haha actually I'm in Columbus Ohio. I do like my camo chef a lot. I've used four burner Blackstone's as well and they work just fine. I have nothing against them. My only real problem with the Blackstones are that there's a gap between the surface and the flame so wind can get to your burners and mess up your temp. This isn't on all of there models but a lot of them. As for other brands like put boss, razor, members mark, and teager. I've never used them so I don't really have an opinion.

I didn’t figure Columbus Ohio , I have been watching men using the flat tops for awhile and trying to make up my mind witch one to buy and in nearly every video you guys use the camp more then the others and it VA seems to be the best especially the way it’s made and you also the only man that has explained the temperature difference in the house stove versus the flat top , thank you, I’ll stay with you and follow directions I am a retired recon Marine Major in Sarasota,take care

@@MAJOR-D ya I do like my camo chef a lot. Also I had a good experience with customer service. It showed up dented, which was UPS fault not camp chef. But camp chef still offered to send me a new one or a bunch of free accessories. I took the accessories. I'm glad you like the videos and hopefully they help once you get a griddle. I try my best to explain everything I learned. Thank you so much for watching and your years of service to our country.

Ok Johnny I just subscribed, watched a couple more videos and my goodness… marriage advice too… this quite the format! So I may want to give you just a teeny tiny bit of advice as well… when making the video looking into the camera next to your griddle… you may want to be careful about resting your arm on the griddle, you may one day have had a few too many of the Buds (that you warmed up to a nice “high rolling boil”… which was sitting on the griddle in one of your vid shots)… and forget the griddle was on… then your wife may start giving YOU some “advice” while in the burn unit as you recover from 10th degree burns. BUT I DIGRESS… great video again!
@JohnnyBrunet

Hey Randy thanks for subscribing!!!! Ya I'm only 3 years in so I don't know how good mymarriage advice is hahahaha. Oh ya nd I def gott watch my arm don't want to end up in the hospital with a griddle burn. That would be embarrasing "man who only makes griddle videos, burns himself on the griddle lol". Well thanks again for watching and subscriging I really appreciate all the support.

@@JohnnyBrunet hey Johnny… thanks for the reply and good luck with the channel (still putting together my new griddle… will finish it all up after I take my daughter to get some driving practice driving test is tomorrow)… also good luck with the marriage… free advice… NEVER use always in a heated discussion, but ALWAYS use: “us”, “we”, “with” and “together”… to name a few… and always laugh at yourself… I’ll be watching your grilling videos … so get it right! LOL! Have a great labor-day.
