dont worry john ur pacing is fine for the majority of us i appreciate how u break things up into sections like having a whole vid dedicated to hunting or having a night out on the town, it makes things easier to follow
@UnstablePax10 күн бұрын
The 'Hunting'(/'Exploring' seems more fitting) is great for this game. RDR2 is best played slowed, which sucks for Let's plays so having those sections makes it easier for those that are just interested in the story to know what they should watch.

For a first playthrough this is a perfect pace, You were never going to see absolutely everything in 1 playthrough. I’ve done 4 playthroughs of this game with 500hrs played and am still finding new things, you’ve found a really good balance in my opinion.

@luke504110 күн бұрын
@normahidup I haven’t got 100% completion, I think the most I have on a save is 93% but I know what you get from completing 100% and personally it isn’t worth it. Some of the challenges (e.g. collecting all dinosaur bones and dreamcatchers) are incredibly tedious and the reward isn’t good enough to entice me.

I thought my favorite part was going to be John getting stuck behind his horse when trying to be an upstanding citizen by saving the robbery victim, then I thought it would be him baiting people into getting killed by cops, but it was actually when, during a harrowing ride through the city, with random bystanders dying around him, Arthur leaned forward and shoved a bunch of hay in Naomi’s mouth to calm her down. True camp

lol too many funny things you can do in this game. I've been telling my friends who haven't played that the main story is great and all, but the game truly shines during the mundane in-between moments out in the open world

@@JohnTwolfe Yeah, 100%. I think that's why it's nice you're taking your time through the game. Your reaction to major plot beats has been fun to witness, but nothing beats the wild police chases or the pure vengeance unleashed when some random nobody crosses you and leaves a rude word.

I like your pacing and I do love the hunting episodes even if the animals are never around when you need them. I do enjoy the stories that you tell about your encounters with wild animals. I live in Belgium and the most interesting wild animal you can encounter over here are foxes. Pacing is great! RDR2 is meant to be enjoyed slowly, I think. Sometimes you smash through main and side quests and get into hundred-man gunfights, and other times you just potter about up in the mountains, picking flowers and hunting game. The game is at its best when it has that contrast; grilling meat and sipping coffee in the woods is a nice change of pace from Dutch's pontificating, and vice versa.

The random cut in of the fail screen in the rob coach mission with the "Sheamus was abandoned" message, I was SO CONFUSED 😭 For a second there I felt like the game was gaslighting me with some character from camp I didn't remember you were supposed to be on the mission with or something, I'm so glad John was equally confused (the solidarity I felt when John too could only stare in perplexed silence and ask who Sheamus was) and looked it up. It was cool that Tilly was missing from camp for a reason and John noticed it!! I like how they thread in the camp people's side missions. I guess it's possible to never rescue Tilly from them, which is really creepy considering how angry that guy was with her and how horrible Tilly and Grimshaw were implying they treated her (like the idea of either Tilly just vanishing forever from camp without explanation if you never trigger that mission, or if enough time passes that the game acknowledges it with other characters commenting on it or being able to find Tilly's body at that house or something, creeps me out). Favorite moments hands-down were John's shocked giggles at Grimshaw's bloodthirstiness, him reading the Charles letter, and the affronted way he said "I threw you over a WATERFALL." (fingers crossed John keeps murdering him and running across him perfectly alive again the next day. like Kenny)

My self personally, I uncovered all available areas in the map, and Trapper items before I collected from The Downes family. Also people have no idea you can opt, Easy/Normal/Hard/EXPERT on the story mode by not using tonics or deadeye, and getting gold medals for each missions (listed in the progress menu) Regardless I'm enjoying this playthrough too much..

Your pace is great. You’re checking out a ton of side things and have seen enough of what the game is about. Some things can be tedious to max out fully and not fun for someone who just wants to play for fun but also catch most of the storyline. When your gang has item requests and you fulfill them, there’s a pretty regular glitch that if you try to give them the item while that character is sitting or performing some kind of chore that it won’t show the animation or have their little cutscene. Which I think is what happened when you tried to give Tilly her item at the end of her talk with Karen. You should still get the rewards from it just fine, but it can be annoying. When you go the party as Arthur there’s a ton of people you can talk to or listen to before going to the fountain. It’s good you helped Algie (lol), I think he’s optional and after saving him, you unlocked someone who you can do item requests for if you feel like it. I think it’s possible to accidentally miss a few of the Native American missions. Like the one you ended on with the ? Even though it’s yellow. I’m sure you’ve been wondering about that reserve you visited an episode back as to why it’s in the game and their storylines are obviously compelling and interesting. I also thought Evelyn Miller was a woman in my first gameplay. Wasn’t expecting him to show up at all but it’s definitely intriguing considering how much Dutch looks up to him and his writings.
