Indiana-born singer-songwriter Jon McLaughlin sang “God Bless America” during pre-race ceremonies for the 102nd Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil on Sunday, May 27, a patriotic tradition of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.”

God bless America many years ago . Was sung by woman . The did a great job you didn't have to think for one minute what she was singing . This guy set before thousands of people in a white T-shirt it took me five minutes understand what he was singing . After seeing the 21 gun salute and taps . I must say this had no place at this event . Where everything was done very respectful . I'm sorry if the truth send you . That woman's name is Kate Smith . I think you can go on KZbin and still hear her .She's a good example to learn from
