I’m in medical school and we USED to sometimes give puberty blockers for precocious puberty for girls ONLY, not boys, when they were 5 years old for 2 years to push back puberty. Even 7 years old was too late for the side effects risk. We now rarely prescribe puberty blockers for precocious puberty anymore because there was a huge lawsuit due to these kids later having horrible bone loss and osteoporosis in their mid 20s, from a drug they were on at 5 years old. People in their mid 20s had their teeth and jawbones totally disintegrating. Which is nothing compared to the bone loss seen in their hips and lower spine.

Instead of "love yourself and celebrate your differences" it's "you should take this medication because you don't fit in with gender stereotypes". I think a lot of these people think they're doing the right thing, and their "activism" comes from personal trauma, but that doesn't minimise the damage they are causing.

That sucks and it should not have happened and if our society were less homophobic and misogynistic the world would be a better place for people like them. Therapists lied to me that they understood my perspective while encouraging my younger daughter to transition. The gender clinic became more harmful in the past couple of years. They called my home and tried to talk to my daughter without my consent. Then they told me they were going to put my 16 year old, fully developed daughter onto puberty blockers. They actually never talked to her, and she was on a waiting list to see their gender psychiatrist one time. They told me they didn't want to talk to me. I don't think they were using puberty blockers, back then, but know that one of those girls had breast cancer by the time she was in her late 20's/early 30's. In the case of precocious puberty, breast, (and i think ovarian), cancer IS a health risk, (on top of the teasing, of course), so the pediatricians are considering long-term health benefits vs risks, when they prescribe puberty blockers for those girls. I am so, so glad you pointed out that any child can be bullied. A lot of the common narratives about bullying actually contributed to "normal white kids" like myself being completely overlooked or even gaslit by adults into the "you can't be a victim" or "you're bullying can't possibly be as bad as other kids." I had another girl who bullied me to the point of attempting to poison me in high school, and until the poisoning incident, I was repeatedly told that I was the problem and I couldn't possibly be the victim since she was the one in a minority group. People like JVN tend to have a persecution complex, and all that results in is making everyone else more resentful towards them. Being a minority doesn't necessarily mean your experiences are worse than someone who isn't in a protected group... but when you draw that line you're unintentionally telling everyone else that their experiences and lives are less important. We should stand against all bullying and all medicalization of children because it's always wrong, not just the groups one personally identifies with... people like JVN need to learn that.

I had 2 female bullies in junior high and they were BIGGER than all of the boys. One went on to murder a 20-year old stripper with 3 of her female friends at 16 (she only got a few years in juvie and a year in a group home), the other broke the neck of a girl at my school (who came to school in a neck cast) and was eventually suspended for bringing a butcher knife. This was the late 90s. When people say "girls only bully with words" I call BS!

I started my period at 7, it was a scary time as I was still playing with my barbie dolls and I was so young, BUT, my body was ready to naturally do what it needed to do, no doctor ever mentioned to stop this or give me medication, because its called “Human nature” I did start the pill at 12 due to my heavy periods, I think we forget as humans we all experience different stages and developments in our life, I am grateful and happy my body done what it needed to do❤️ No child should ever be put on puberty blockers before they have actually went through puberty, puberty makes you grow and learn about your body. ❤ 18+ you can do what you want, O I wish people will stop pushing little children to take something that can ruin there future. Therapy & self love is needed.

My eldest was suggested by her pediatrician to get her checked out for precocious puberty when she was 6 or 7, because she was big for her age (her dad is 6’3). I didn’t bother getting her tested, because I didn’t want her on puberty blockers (this was before this whole thing went down with putting kids on them). The doctor even told me that once she turns 8 she can’t take them, because they won’t help. I’m so glad I listened to my intuition because I don’t want my eldest daughter having medical issues as an adult for taking this stuff.

I will never understand why we have suddenly stopped encouraging children to learn to love themselves for who they are. They talk about inclusivity ect and yet are forcing people into neat little boxes. When that isnt how it works. Each of us is our own person. We are all so different yet similar in so many ways. Stoo telling kids they need to change to be who they are. Pet them grow and decide for themselves. Puberty is hard for EVERYONE! I thinm almost every single person who experiences it at one point or another feels out of place in their body due to the new changes. Let them learn to adjust to themselves and discover themselves. It is such a crucial part of growing up. It makes me so sad they are basically being told they are not good enough exactly as they are. Thanks Buck!! You are such a briliant brigh light of a soul, in an increasingly darkening world. Leave our kids alone! Encourage people to seek actual real mental health help. Not affirmative care based on self diagnosis. Already the lawsuits are coming in. Terrified to see the extent of it in even 5-10 years. Let alone more. Especially depending on the rate at which it either continues or slows down. Hopefully ending completely as far as children. Honestly believe should be at 25 when the brain is fully formed and after a long period of therapy and what not to ensure that is what will truly help. Tired of the glorification of mental illness while simultaniously denying certain realities and the existence of those that go against the narrative. Eduaction and health care really need a tota and complete OVERHAUL. Should be helping and working FOR THE PEOPLE. Not the people whoms pockets are being lined. Always about the $$$ and power first. Disgusting and disgraceful! Sorry to whomever made it this far in my novel of a response. I did not intend to make so long🤦🤷🤣 clearly the whole thing gets me going these days. Wish they'd make it make sense already!

You hit the nail on the head. Stop the gender dysphoria. That’s the root. People should be fighting for better mental health care, not puberty blockers, or ‘trans medical’ care. It’s almost like people are fighting to be trans, not fighting to get better, or to be loving and accepting of themselves as they are. This doesn’t just apply to trans people but anyone who wants cosmetic surgery and/ or takes it to the extreme.
@madtabby66 Жыл бұрын

Growing up is already a confusing time for kids. Leaving childhood behind for adolescence is hard. Almost all kids go through phases, lots of girls dont embrace womanhood or the idea of femininity early on. I had a big brother & went through a BMX bike, only shopping in the boys section phaae & was rough & tumble. When I went through puberty everything evened out. I cannot imagine going through that phase in todays climate. Id probably have been societally pressured into believing I was a trans boy & fought tooth & nail for it, wanting to feel special & thinking it would have given me ll this extra attention, with no idea of tbe ramifications & permanence. You really are a wonderful soul, Buck. I'm so glad you're out here fighting the good fight to protect children from people who care more about validating their own identities than the wellbeing of those very children. JVN should know better than most that feminine little boys will more than likely grow up to simply be gay. Same with masculine little girls. They'll probably just be lesbians. All you have to do is leave them alone and let them be gay. No big deal. I remember when we were concerned with telling people, "It's okay to be gay." Now we're effectively sterilizing and butchering the genitals of people who would (in all likelihood) grow up to simply be gay. And we're doing it in the name of being "progressive." I do have a gay son who went through pretty bad bullying before he even knew that he was gay or even really what gay was he just thought it was some bad evil thing because kids were calling him that in a negative way. I’m glad he talked to me about it and I was able to explain it to him and let him know it wasn’t bad so when he was old enough to understand his sexuality he didn’t hate himself.

You're the one that's setting up accounts to talk to and implant new ideas into their heads..? And secondly, I care about kids in general! I care about the peers my child will be forced to share a generation with! I care about the state of the world we will be leaving our children in, because as adults it is our responsibility to prepare them for a successful life ahead! It keeps going back to "it takes a village to raise a child", meaning it takes multiple adults to bestow knowledge and skills into our youth, and we all have different gifts. All kids are important and deserve to have happy futures. We owe them the truth, at the very least.

I've personally seen these creepy tiktoks where queer content creators cheerfully discuss these drugs, they always make them seem like these blockers simply press the pause button on puberty, like there's no risks. They're perfect if a child is questioning their gender identity and just needs more time 😲. Plus if anyone dares question anything then they're hateful and transphobic. I've known for a while that they can have awful unwanted side effects, and they can be permanent. I feel that children who are like I was are at risk because of these nutters, I was an absolute tomboy to the point I used to say I wanted to be a boy, and I looked like a little boy too. These people would have said I was trans masculine, I'm not, I'm totally happy as a woman rn

Your son not being brainwashed has less to do with the time he was born and probably more to do with being secure in himself which I’m sure luckily you instilled in him, but not everyone is that lucky to have parents who support their self expression. I mean 20 years old is squarely in Gen Z, and they are the age group where I’m seeing the most detransitioners, the most young people who were fast tracked into transition in the last few years and now regret it. Add Zillennials too - I was born in 1995, so I’m on the very youngest end of millennials/on the cusp of Gen Z and this sh*t really started to hit the fan and explode with my generation…Especially in the late 2000s/early 2010s when we were all kids on tumblr being exposed to nonsense. Like I have a friend who I fell out of contact with and last i saw her around 2016 she had began transitioning. Looked at her social media, she’s now detrans.

@@Nihil-druid1 She’s a Gen X woman. Part of the blame on Gen Z lies with Gen X parents who failed to raise their kids properly. They treated them like their friends because Gen X came up as latchkey kids. This woman is an exception though, sounds like she raised her son properly, which is more than I can say for many. I was very thankful to have some oldschool teachers born in the 1930s and 1940s that taught me and lots of other kids actual math and english. Of course this was over 20 years ago. Unfortunately the rot and decay in our education system was already showing up then. I was an 80’s baby and early 90’s child, I was born far too early for this crap to happen. For kids born in 1997 - 2002, they were the first to get indoctrinated with this garbage. You probably graduated highschool in 2012 or 2013, which was right when this ideology movement started. It was however, nothing like the monster it is today.

If it was not for you and Blare, I would not know that my kid needed to be in therapy. And that was how you save your kid. My kid is now much older and is Trans and it made sense and they are happy. I just wanted a happy child, but I also did not want one that was sad because of that change that in my humble thoughts feared that they would regret it later. And thank you for that Buck!

to start this off i just want to say thank you buck and i love you and your videos and appreciate the things both you blaire and many others are doing for our children. im a parent and a female and i worry about my son growing up around this stuff, im keeping him far away from the internet as long as i can and if hes ever watching any kind of videos im right here watching them with him. when i was a teenager i also hated being a girl, i read gender dysphoria symptoms with my husband the other day and said to him, if i saw this stuff as a teenager id of thought the same thing. i said that i despised being a girl, my body didnt match anyone elses, i hated it, i was a really bad tom boy who enjoyed playing football (british), i hung out with the lads most of the time and climbed trees etc. i said to my husband by the definition of the trans people nowadays i would be a trans man or non binary etc and i sat here looked down at myself and went, nope im pretty sure im a woman. i mean i still not comfortable with my body but i dont hate being female. having everything a woman has makes me a woman and i dont question it even if im very masculine. my husband is a very femanine man, but hes still a man both in his brain and his physical body as he was born. we both are fine with our gender however both discussed we hated going through puberty, everyone does, its a part of life though and i dont understand why anyone would force them to not instead of just try to help them go through the hard part until theyre old enough to make their own medical decisions at 18.

Accepting medical advice from a hairdresser is like going to a Chinese restaurant and ordering lasagne.
